i just came across this:

The Award of the Stiftung der Deutschen Bekleidungsindustrie 2006 (German Apparel Industry Foundation) will be awarded to designs reflecting the local clothing culture of the designer's region. The designs should transform local elements into new, up-to-date any globally attactive symbols.
In addition there is a Special Award Fashion Branding attributed in collaboration with world's leading brand consulting company Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux. The competition is open to design students of all disciplins in the fourth semester or higher.
Prizes Fashion Award: 4.000/2.000/1.000 Euro; Special Award: 3.500 Euro
Internships: Adidas, René Lezard, Schöffel, Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux
Registration deadline: December 14th, 2005
