I've been meaning to post this link for some time now, but I couldn't find it. I remember this editorial from W back in 2001 and I've loved it since I first saw it. I think it has a kind of lolita feel to it....

some are great!

i absolutely love the romantic D&G white look .. post #207 but to find an aoccasion to go dressed like that? its all transparent.

Love the school girl look. #209 It kind of reminds me of Japanese uniforms. *wink*

I like this look and I've always gone a little Lolita but now I'm 20 and, I have to say, I look my age or a bit older so it would be quite strange if I'd choose this Lolita style

And the homonymic novel is one of my favourites too

i love the gothic lolita and the whole japanese lolita look
so cute

I'm pretty much in love with this look.

Is anyone really doing it for S/S 06 affordably, though?

In V for Vendetta, Natalie Portman has a Lolita-esque costume in one scene. I'm not going to describe the scene because I don't want to spoil it for the people who haven't seen the movie yet.

Classic Lolita

This fall I've seen a lot of (runway) Spring trends featuring none other than the classic "Kubrick" Lolita style:

And of course, the original Lolita (radio.net)

I've being intrigued by the Lolita story (and her 'look' as defined by Gemma, Stam, Heather, etc) since I was about thirteen...:D

I love this book. It's one of my favourites. This is quite a cool shoot starring a young Milla Jovovich, although the Humbert is a little weird looking!

Glittery Bug, Humbert looks like Harry Dean Stanton (from Big Love, Pretty in Pink, Repoman, etc.). Thank you for posting the photos! My favorite is the fourth one.

Lolita is always in and Betsey although clowning around this season, was a bit disappointing, however other designers always take a fun approach to lolita in the spring.

I want those Lolita heart-shaped glasses! :heart::heart::heart:

and the book Lolita by Nabokov is one of my favorites, I used to love it so much when I was 16-17

Mimmy Posted a picture of real Lolita's, however I have scanned some of the pictures on various pages and...well they aren't Lolita. Think more in the lines of things like these.<edit: and I'm not saying I looked at all the pages...that would be a lot. Also Lolita in this term means elegant/cute goth...not prostitute.>
