looking for ugg like boots without the ugg like unsexiness??

i love these ugg boots, however, being short and not super slim, they look massive on me, they make me looklike a 5 years old wearing her mother shoes...
so, my question is, is there a pair of boots loike these, but 'smaller', more sexy and less puffy??

by the way..just a quick Q...ugg boots are famous for keeping your feet warm, right?..so, how cames they were 'invented' for surfers??what s the connection there??
i still remember pamela anderson wearing them in baywatch years ago and thinking 'gosh, she is walking down the beach, what s the need for a pair of boots??'
