Louis Vuitton Menswear Pre-Fall 2025 Paris

it’s just there.

A bunch of clothes, some of them nice, with way too much cheap branding. But I guess that’s what the LV client wants, but it’s a lot seeing it grouped in a collection this way.

Reminds me of the time I wore head to toe Dior to see a friend complete with jewelry etc and the first thing he said was, “that’s a lot of branding”

It reminds me of a shoot for Dismagazine in 2010.
It’s very nondescript. I hate those trousers.

I am convinced that any person, who thinks LV menswear or womenswear, especially in 2024, looks good must have either taste problems or got to money very recently and needs to brand themselves head-to-toe in something as loud as possible (which is a taste problem too).

Philipp Plein with LV logos everywhere.
Thank you, next.
Yes, there are logos everywhere, in the bags, belts and caps...
But in the clothes... I find them quite toned-down for a Vuitton collection!

In fact, you still see logos but almost never printed: quilted in leather and studed, embroidered in crystals, perforated in the suede leather, in jacquard silk with the printed stripes (if I understand correctly the kaftan long shirt, you only will be able to see the logo under a certain light)...

There was an effort in branding the pieces, it almost became abstract in a couple of them (the black ¿tweed? jacket and trousers, the pink combo with the jacquard flowers).
And many outfits were slightly to not-logoed at all.

I hate to admit it, but from all the supermarket fashion that we are served these days, this is for me one of the best menswear products.

Beyond the logoy stuff there is incredible blazers, shirts and pants. Tasty sweaters and trench coats. SO many great looks in my opinion, from the white sand tuxedo jacket to the moire shirt with flare slacks. the double breasted cardigan with the discreet star intarsia.

Those pleated pants are awful and some of it just looks like stuff they whipped it up because they had to include Monogram and Damier...plus once they stop doing men's staples it becomes trendy items with the LV logo on it.

That quilted jacket with VUITTON in studs is an immediate sell out. I need to investigate tha knit collarless jacket because that may be a must...

I wonder, when you look at men in Paris, what's the brand that they wear the most?
French men loves AMI, APC, SANDRO and a bit of Ralph Lauren/Lacoste.
In general, when they wears designers loud stuff, it’s in little touches: a jacket, a bag, shoes, accessories.
Louis Vuitton by Pharrell is very much in inoffensive a bit like Dior by Kim Jones. I feel like the brands are interchangeable anyway.
