Louis Vuitton Menswear S/S 2026 Paris

I think Pharrell is a good hire to sell things. His direction is commercialism with a capital C and I quite like him for that. Depending on your style and age, everything is wearable and many are `identifiable` even without the logo like the animal prints. And since they are cute, rich kids will also want them.

He also makes an attempt to pander to the tastes of rich, black, successful Hollywood rappers. I can imagine many wearing that black croc jacket giving them a lot of exposure. Not everyone can afford the croc but you can buy a similar cotton short sleeved shirt to `be with the crowd`.
I am also hearing Indian music in the show, guess India is an important market now?

Nothing groundbreaking but money generating and that`s fine, the market is big enough for that kind of designers.

the clothes are basic, decently cut, easy to wear, easy to sell. The bags are cute and eye catching. I’m sure that what LVMH wanted when they hired him and Pharrell delivered seasons after seasons, so congrats to him.

But the least he can do is to make the show more entertaining. A new stylist to elevate these basics, an exciting performance. Because this show is just a parade of straight-to-store merchandise.

Really enjoyed the music, something about the chorus gave me Kanye’s Jesus Is King vibes. I think it’d be cool if Pharrell leaned a bit more into her streetwear style too!

I like the knits. Some gorgeous sweaters in there. Not much else.

The only thing that’s is remotely exciting is the different colored trunks everything else was a waste of time. I agree that the way the trunks were presented is over and done and they need to do something different. Maybe have a bunch of Adonis figures to carry the trunks by hand as the twink waifs walk around in their ill designed clothes.

Not awful, but I probably won't remember anything about it either. He knows how to put on a show though.

I like this. It's nice to see that they're (i say "they" because who knows how much Pharrell actually worked on this) not over-milking a theme, but producing believable, beautiful things that fit into a stylish man's wardrobe. The new, kind of softer bags are very appealing. I also like the styling - understated but interesting, very modern.

Textures and colours are strong and unexpectedly good. Silhouettes work but feel generic. Trousers and several coats are sharply cut. Styling is too literal and predictable. The bags are potential best-sellers.

Amiri is that you?
I mean it is very commercial and ppl who are already shopping with Vuitton would want many pieces from it for sure. But as an influential brand, this collection says nothing. men’s fashion has been so dull and uneventful.

I'm sorry but I feel like he's been on autopilot since his third show...there's no clear creative vision, no desire in pushing things forward and spice up the fashion conversation...
Nice clothing, nice bags, nice accessories but nothing more, quite a forgettable collection. At this point I rather get the Vaccarello YSL with the styling gimmicks...
It's the typical "great gowns, beautiful gowns" collection (quoting Aretha Franklin)

to me this is very united arrows / popey magazine / pre covid Tokyo daikanyama / hipster coded. which is probably something he really likes. It's all made in very luxurious fabrics and finishing. I think for LV this is actually fine, I dont really understand LV as a house for a strong fashion proposition for men.

Exactly. And in reality, beyond the fashion conversation, Pharrell after all is the epitome of the client and a lot of men who goes to Louis Vuitton menswear aren’t looking for High Octane fashion. You want clothes that compliments the bags you are buying. And men dress quite simply. It’s honest clothes in great fabrics. It can be overpriced but it’s still more relevant to what men wears and buys than crepe de chine oversized suits.

Louis Vuitton under Pharrell isn’t that exciting from a fashion aspect. It’s not very editorial friendly, barely featured on magazines but its clients and retail friendly. You go for the bag or a shoe. You can find a pair of pants that compliment the shoe or a great bag that compliment the shirt or whatever.

And a lot of women also buys stuff for their men there. It’s very approachable.
