Who does he think the customer for this is, is an excellent question ... a lot of it looks too sl*tty for Paris (Hilton that is) ...

Are we sure he's still on the wagon? A few designers have soared, many have pulled an about-face, and quite a few have really disappointed ... Marc being at the top of that list for me. To think he could follow the beauty & elegance of last season with this ... Donatella did so much better.

Though wasn't there some article a few seasons ago in which Marc flat out pointed the finger at the suits for having to keep reintroducing that print? I believe he wanted to retire it after the first time, which makes sense. The graffiti print certainly hasn't returned. This just may be some kind of hybrid, the result of the suits playing around in Marc's shorts. Not very good.

Definitely, bird. The suits have been up to no good lately. Vuitton used to have a gritty, streetier edge when it started out. Even those collections up to 2003 had a very young and cool look to them. After the Murakami came out, the label really went for bourgeois, obvious luxury. I mean, I'm sure that's what sells so I can't really blame them. But this is sort of the ultimate devolving of that "edgy" spirit Vuitton retained.

You see it in the menswear, too. Ever since Katie Grand took over the styling of it from Olivier Rizzo, it's become all about logoed satin and country club basics. Those Vuitton Homme collections from 2001 and 2002 were so inventive and inspired--'80s DJ nerd one season, Basquiat on crack the next. They really pushed fashion forward. Now it's just about the latest trend and the latest logo print.

Hmm...i don't know, I liked the heat of the last menswear collection. The satin didn't suit me...but there's something about menswear from a female point of view that is just a lot smoother. Katie's grand. That's what this womenswear needs, some heat. Even YSL had a good heat to it. This is just too cutesy, little girls, little girls. Gotta put some age on 'em.
