Louis Vuitton S/S 06 Paris

Noooo! I really loved the fall05-collection and now THIS?!?

I think I'm going to cry my eyes out now. Bye, cruel world.

After looking at the entire collection, I think that it was not as bad as people thought. At least now I understand what he was doing and the majority of the collection is very Vuitton. It's typical Marc Jacobs. He never makes two consecutive collections the exactly same theme.

It reminds kind of Versus Versace a little. I don't like this. :ninja:

i like the tan dresses...the oranges i think jpg at hermes did a lot better.

not loving the chain print...so not lv. wonder if it's in their "archives" ?

I'm missing some "signature" pieces, that are eyecatching and which can carry the collection...

Those chainbags suck BIG time!

i didn't really like the collection, hwvr some of the pieces are quite nice like that brown coat or stripy mini skirt. I hate those bags with chain prints on them, it was the main theme of Celine's collection 2 (???) years ago. I really hate t, it just looks tacky and cheap

some handbags are just really odd....but all the shoes are wonderful, as always!

the crocodile bag with the appliquéd vuitton symbols takes the damn cake.
who the hell is going to pay like $20,000 for that?!

I just reviewed the collection at style.com, and couldn't agree with you anymore.

preforated monogram canvas?!?! ... great!

Wow ... with pink showing thru ... anyone reminded of Dooney & Bourke??

Looked at the whole thing ... there are a few acceptable pieces, but once again, it is incredibly difficult for me to envision the woman who wanted to wear the fall collection wanting to wear the Versace wannabe pieces (i.e., the majority) in this collection.

Suzy hasn't gotten to this one yet, but I really loved what she said in her next-to-last article (iht.com) about the trend in some collections away from ladylike and toward, ah, Versace call girl (McQueen), which pretty perfectly expresses how I feel:

"But at a moment when women are reasserting their right to look simply beautiful, McQueen's premise went against the movement toward fashion grace."

And so does this.

My expectations were extremely low after having my hopes dashed by Marc Jacobs' own line, but I have to admit, I never expected anything as bad as this. Oh well ...

this is very good.

everything is too young, but i think it will get shown alot in editorials for some reason.

but i do love the little yellow bow mules:blush:

The mysterious reason is Vuitton's endless advertising budget!

They need to adress the balance of power between their design budget and their advertising budget, methinks.

Then again, Marc Jacobs is probably costing them a pretty penny and I'm sure a team of trained monkeys could do his job for enough peanuts, judging from these bags...

Those bags are hideous  Apart from the purple outfit on Vlada, and possibly one other dress, I don't like any of this

I don't hate it all, some of the coats are lovely (especially the purple one) as are the hemlines at the back of some of coats. I quite like the more colourful colours too, can't say I'm not dissapointed as I loved last season so much but I'm not horrified.
