Louis Vuitton S/S 07 Paris

i may be the only one, but i enjoyed this.

im really getting sick of the 80's trend thats going strong for another season...it had to be good in order for me to like it, and alot wasnt.

the bags arent strong at all, i agree. but i really like the clothes, the whole mari antoinette in ruins is a theme i see is really different from so many things, and i kind of missed all of the frills...i think it will look really good in stores.

I like this collection very much except that 'grandma-bag'. My favourite models (Vlada, Sasha   ) look like wonderful fairies!

After viewing the entire line, I'm 50/50. Some of it I really adore!!! I love the dreamy dresses & the colour scheme. And then there are other pieces I really don't like at all. Overall, I don't think it's bad....I quite like it!

So far I haven't seen anyone mention the "reference" to the shoes with the heel cutout that were hot for awhile in the late 70s/early 80s ... I nearly got a pair ... have to admit these are cuter :p Haven't looked at the whole collection yet, but my initial impression is I liked Marc's own collection better, although I by no means hate this.

I hate it. I am glad to see he is attempting to bring back a couture aspect to LV clothing...but he is failing miserably. As for the bags and shoes....oh how I miss FW 05.

AHAHH! Love the china bags...maybe I'll dig mine up and start carrying it around...hehehe...

But everything else is blah. the collection looks like an all pastel Midsummer's Night Dream high school drama production. blah.

If they would sell the shopping bags for what they are worth, which would be around 1/2 euro/dollar, and only in an limited edition, it would be cool, otherwise, no.

I think this collection has a lot of potential, only if Marc Jacobs tweeked it a little bit. Honestly though, LV doesn't need to give a fig about artistic collections. All it's concerned about is raking in the big bucks and this collection will probably do just that.

I'll take the black and white shoes from post 3 in a size 8. You can keep the gold ones and the granny shopping bags.

thanks

an exceptionally beautiful collection..
bravo!...

OMG! Guess what I saw today, I saw a woman with those new bags! She must be serious VIP to have it hot off the runway, she was even using it to do her laundry!!

I like it. It's a bit of a continuation from last season, which he doesn't normally do. It's usually about a volte-face from one show to the next. Those Chinatown grandma grocery bags are hilarious. Great sense of humor.

I totally agree :)

he looks fabulous.

same here , ive had it with beatnik 60s and 80s fashion , its been dominating for past 3 years , its time to move to some other era , its least wearable . THis LV collection is horrible , i can buy similar sh*t at walmart...ughhh

the handbags were terrible.... the shapes were tiresome.... the flowers too over the top.

I have a very love/hate relationship with Marc Jacobs' and his collections. I may be in the minority here, but I have to say that I absolutely love this!

The shoes are AMAZING! I love the clothes, for me they are the right mix of slight grunge, classic, vintage, and romance. They have a sense of "shabby chic" to them, which I love!

I don't really care for most of the bags with the exception of the ones with the leather, multi-colored circles and the plaid, "chinatown" bags which seem to have a fabulous sense of irony to them.

this has got to be my favourite collection this season, by far, all weeks :D

But then again I'm a sucker for ruffles, deconstruction etc.

IMO, Marc sucked at LV and MJ this season, esp. LV, but Marc by MJ was really good.
