This album changed my life!!! Seriously - it opened my eyes to a whole world of creativity and imagination and it was the first time that I experienced the intersection of real fashion and music and it was so thrilling.

I remember watching the making of the music video for "What You Waiting For?" and seeing Gwen in those Dior Couture gowns...I had never seen anything like it before! I so vividly recall immediately going online after the video and researching what Dior Couture was and finding myself on dior.com - and the rest is history. Ha!

Not only that - but the songs on this album are just as good today as they were when they came out. They're equally as specific to the mid-00's as they are timeless...a really interesting and powerful thing - for something to be both a time capsule and also be just as compelling of a product to this day. These songs are still so rich, clever, layered and creative and spontaneous. The album and the accompanying imagery isn't just good by nostalgic default...it still has the power to inspire.

Really makes you wonder what the hell is going on with Gwen these days?? Mid-life crisis much??

^^^ Looking at her current looks in the Gewn Stefani thread is frightening.

Nick's photography is eternal here, and immortalized Gwen as such a goddess. But the cheap kindergarten medieval manuscript design direction for the booklet is horrendous.

Has anyone ever been able to find any information about Shinjuko? The artist behind the illustrations?
