@tortoisie: the name of the book luca is reading is "mein name sei gantenbein" by max frisch! but i have no idea what it is about!

This book "mein name sei gantenbein" is a German classic written in 1964 by Max Frisch.

The person writing it is Gantenbein who writes everything in the "I" or "me" form. In the book the "I" person contantly changes roles. The book deals with the complex problems of playing roles and reality. It all sound very ingruiging!

I have just read a blurb online of the book. It looks quite good! If I have understand it correctly:

“Mein Name sei Gantenbein” is about a man who could not understand why his wife broke up with him. As he sits in his now deserted living room, a stream of mingled thoughts went through his head. On his quest to understand why she had left him, he invented rolls, an architect called “Svodoba”, a art-historian called “Enderlin”. But at the end, he was sure: “Let my name be Gantenbein.” The blinded Gantenbein is the perfect role as a researched narrator to look for intimate secrets affairs through traces of his surroundings even with his fauled eyesights.
