It’s been well over a decade since Lucas had anything substantial to show for his talent. I wouldn’t be so quick to install him at Hermes without solid proof he’s still a capable talent.

Come on, we are not going to act like doing Hermes requires some type of out of the world thing that an experienced, skilled designer could do.

Except for Margiela and JPG, we are not going to act like designers that have worked for Hermes demonstrated incredible work before.

The only thing that matters at Hermes is being French or speak French lol.

^^^ I understand your point that anyone would be better than Veronique, Lola. Just that in 2025, Veronique’s Hermes is actually a refreshing and innovative proposal amongst all the clowns/toddlers/twinks-- and Dolce’s hilarious recent showing that’s clearly only for the Vatican’s gayest and Sean Combs.

I suppose if Hermes men’s wishes to chase after some phantom customer— or only care for clout to beg for likes/follows on social from people that will never be customers, instead of maintaining its very realistic offerings for its very real customer, then rebrand away.

Thank goodness I had the good foresight [...and personal taste] to never had gotten into the supertight/suprfitted/supershrunk style, and that included skinny jeans, of that era. I have some suits from Neil that came with very tight pants. But I never wore those pants—never liked that blatant thighs/butt/crotch bulge effect/flex…Fortunately was able to hunt down matching/similar pants that were slimmed, tailored instead of skinny. Lucas’ and Neil both Lanvin had jackets and coats that weren’t supertight/suprfitted/supershrunk. It may just be a pathetic fashion fallacy that we all wore skinny everything back then.)
