the ida, ooh that sunscreen sounds awesome. what branD? :)
Garnier Ambre Solaire. It's called Clear Protect. It absorbs really fast and it doesn't grease at all.

i haven't tried those two, but i've tried afterglow cosmetics which is also mineral makeup.
mineral foundation is made of basically purely natural ingredients (grounded minerals i think) whereas the normal foundations we usually use (eg MAC, chanel,...) they all have chemicals in them. which in the long run could be pretty harmful. plus mineral foundations are alot less harsh and less likely to break you out if you have sensitive skin. :) HTH!

Thanks! however are the coverage the same since it is a powdery kind of coverup..? i always tend do think that powder makes yo look made up and cakey and dry, will the mineral makeup base give you that look or does it gie you the liquid foundation dewy skin look?

weird thing is, if mineral makeup is good for your skin how come theyre so much cheaper than like chanel, armani, dior liquid chemical bad for your skin foundation? ID minerals is a good brand yet its still cheaper than those liquid foudnation even stila and etc..

La mer has come out with 2 new foundations, i am very eager to try them yet here in vancouver eveything is slow so i have towait till august, is anyone plannign to try them? theyre of course pricey but i heard its good for the skin as well.

mademoiselle, yeap i think the coverage is pretty much the same. the only thing i don't like about the loose powder is that i find it abit more of a hassle to bring around for any touch ups.. i mean imagine having to lug ard a brush! I find my MAC studio fix alot more convenient, though i'm really loving the mineral foundation coz i find that it melts into your skin (pretty much like liquid i think!) instead of how my powder foundation usually just kinda rubs off.
You do have to watch how much you put and follow the tap, swirl thing they've got going on because otherwise it can go on quite unevenly/cakey.

yeah i'm not sure about how come it's cheaper than the chemical brands honestly.. i'm thinking it's because mineral makeup has such basic ingredients? whereas the other non-mineral brands have all these crazy chemicals that probably cost alot. i don't know i'm just guessing here :)

you should give it a try anyway, since it's alot cheaper you dont really have much to lose!

thanks soozq,
yeah I think Im going to give it a try, i have to master the way how i 'tap swirl' i hardlty use powderie makeup so its going to take a while.....

Im sad how they dotn sell minerals ID, the only ones they offer here in spas and boutiques are JANE IREDALE and GLOMINERALS, theyre like $54 bux...

thanks again soozq

Anyone use the ESTEE LAUDER ILLUMINATOR wand thing? :D it's a concealer as well
i like it! but not quite sure how to WORK it =)

help please!

ooh jane iredale and glominerals make liquid minderal foundation, i thought it was only powderie foundation! i guess not. im gonig for a consultation tomorrow! im so excited to try mineral makeup! ahah

The number one product for me to achieve luminous, glowy and healthy looking skin (through makeup) is Giorgio Armani Sheer Cream Blush in shade 1. It has been revolutionary for me. I have very pale skin with a pinkish undertone and before had always gone for a pink blusher because I love the flushed, pretty look. When the SA showed me this colour, I was shocked because it was quite orangeybrown! But then he put a few tiny strokes of colour on my cheek and the effect was immediate. It doesn't look even like you're wearing blush because it overall makes you look a healthier colour, it's amazing. I was walking down the street with my friend the day after I bought it and she kept on stopping me saying how fantastic the colour was. Even her sister, who didn't know about the blush, mentioned that something had changed about my face, I suddenly looked so much healthier and pretty. I've had such an amazing response to this that I had to share it with everyone, so you can have it too!

I went to Holt Renfrew today and tried the Prescriptives Flawless foundation since everyone is raving about it. I didn't like it..I find it kinda heavy looking or I say matte? .....I bought the Stila illuminating foundation instead and I love it!! I recommend it to all who wants to get that dewy, glowy look..and pair it up with Stila all over shimmer and I must say it is Fabulous!!!^_^

thanks couturecrazee! im gonig to holt this week for a girogi armani makeup application for the mother and daughter special event, i dot know if i should keep buyig armnais foundation or try stila!

^^^^awww thats cute..maybe I'll book an appointment with my mom as well...Do you have to call in? I saw your post a few pages back I think?? hehe can't remember but I read that some make up artist recommended you armani louminous foundation mixed with the illuminating liquid? but anywayss I wanted to try it but I stopped by Stila first and kinda got stuck there with the make up artist..lol...so I didnt get the chance to try it:(..Let me know how it turns out with the Armani foundation but if it doesnt work try Stila instead...^_^^_^^_^

Is there such a thing as face gloss? Like some sort of a product that produces glossy sheer sheen but is not shimmery or glittery? I love the look of sheer, dewy, transparent, glowy skin...how do you achieve such look?

^try modelco luminser in 'pink'. it does make the skin really dewy, but be careful not to use too much as it does have a really fine shimmer through it.

Vaseline

If you´re gonna use vaseline use it after putting on your foundation, otherwise your foundation is just gonna end up looking odd.

People think Vaseline is poreclogging but technically pure petroleum jelly shouldnt be. Of course everyone's skin is different. Use it only where u want to highlight like the top of your cheeks and use a light amount.

If you want a more expensive solution, Bobbi Brown has a pink balm in her Extra skincare line, forgot the name. . . . soothing? Anyway, it works the same way if you wanna try that
