Luminous, Dewy and Healthy Looking Makeup

clinique's Almost Makeup makes me look sooooo glowy. I get compliments all the time - my skin looks flawless, a little bit dewy (without looking oily) and completely even.

Is there something that makes your skin glow, but not shine nor glitter? Cause, I want a "matte" glow, not a shiny glow and I tend to shine a lot already (somehow I sweat like hell on my face.)

Btw, I remember me asking for these kinda products a few years ago on here. Loved Alejandro's reply ("Shove a lightbulb up yours to glow from within".)

I don't think Portman's brows are too thick.

I've used Revlon Skinlights, petrolium jelly, and some other things. But they always seem to undo my foundation. Is there anything that you could just spray on?

Ladies you have to try BECCAS foundation and face Illuminator shimmer highlighter! So dewy and fresh looking and with SPF! I use too freelance for them and it was one of my favorite lines to work for because peoples skin really GLOWED.

i have fairly oily skin that can break out from time to time. is there any makeup that is good for this skin type? something that will remove that excess oil and won't breakout my skin but still gives me the dewy look?

I like dusting on MAC msfs before applying foundation/moisturizer. Gives you an awesome dewey look.

I second this wholeheartedly. MSF's are the absolute best thing for the luminous look, they make everyone look flawless. Everyone should have at least one in their makeup bag.

Yes Chel4mdavali La bella Donna mineral powder if gives you a glow, no oil or talc its way better than bare minerals. Its dermatologist recommended and great if you easily break out. if you are really fair skinned get the color nicoltette, more golden tan get Sophia.but get the loose not the pressed : )

YES what is MAC msfs ???
I have MAC pigment colour powder that gives some subtle shine/

How to get that fresh, natural, DEWY look?

I love this look. It's something I can wear out everyday -I absolutely adore any makeup that can make someone look fresh and DEWY :)
So can anyone please give out pointers on how to achieve this look? You can give me product names as well (would be great) :)
What should be done to the eyes, lips (note that the lips aren't super glossy but still soft and supple looking), skin, etc?
Much thanks!

Please provide the source of the pictures, it's tFS policy :flower:

To be honest, I think most of the photos have simply been photoshopped. And the 'dewy' look your after is a mere trick of the lighting (in those photoshoots anyway).

Yes, I was going to say ... all the products one would need to achieve the look in those pictures is VASELINE (for the lens) and PHOTPSHOP (for the rest).

The photoshop job is quite evident here, but an easy trick to scout retouching is to look at the whites of the eyes - bad retouchers usually white them completely, not even leaving a shade of the tiny bloodvessels that always have to be there.

Of course there are products, but most of the dew you see in the first pics is just bad photoshop like someone mentioned.

If you want a natural look, like the first pics, just use some tinted moisturizer, concealer, some mascara and a neutral eyeshadow, and a tiny bit of lipcolour or just a bit of vaseline.
Look for a nice highlighter to complement your look, there are several recommended in this tread. ;)
As for colours for this look, just look for whatever suits your skin, no one can choose it for you unless you go to a makeup counter. :)

Ok, to make a nice reply as well; if your skin isnt oily and easily shines "the wrong way" you can try a foundation with a slight shimmer in it. A couple of years ago, Nivea had a cheap not too bad one that gave a nice morning dew effect (and not old lady Helena Rubenstein glitter and sparkle..).

Lipcolours that are non-shimmery or just lightly so also make the look soft and natural.
