L'Uomo Vogue February 2017 : Pierre Niney by Norman Jean Roy

This is the only men's publication I've stayed loyal to. Not the best art direction, but at least they haven't forgotten that they're a men's high fashion publication.

This cover is too on the weaker side of their usual high style for my taste-- I'd prefer my covers to feature subjects that are at least, awake... But it's Feb-- the most sleepy and boring month, so I can relate to a dosing Pierre LOL

Thanks Scotty for the post.

I remember that year when there were two competing Saint Laurent biopics. It's a shame his Saint Laurent movie got swept under the rug in favor of that Gaspard Ulliel one.

Saw some previews on social media. Have to say I'm pretty excited for the cover story!

^^^ All of Pierre's images are double-page spreads which lends a cinematic quality to the edit. Very nice.

Their edits are always expanding on a very specific narrative to their brand of distinguished, decadent vision of grand villas and hideaways right out of Great Expectations and The Great Gatsby. And the edits from this issue are no exception. I like them all except for the one of some Harry Potter-looking kid that looks like it belongs in Vogue Bambini: hopefully that’s as close to pandering to the kids as it gets for this mag LOL

Love this picture, it's so french and italian at the same time. I think this is the last issue by Franca

Like who wouldn't want to jump into that scene with him? Gorgeous European styling.

I like the cover, looks like a kind of contemporary portrait in an Italian Renaissance style
