^oops forgot to add : this is the only editorial! but what an editorial!

ok guys...it's def. not possible to compare everything to everything a-l-l the time!!! and say everytime "it's not original"!!! wtf!
for instance we cannot compare Rubens to Delacroix. even if Delacroix get influences into Rubens (tons actually) we cannot reconsider Delacroix and say "oops his Sardanapale isn't original. it looks like Rubens!" it IS original, it is different time, it IS different...

I love Sigur Ros and I love this editorial...eventough both use "oxygen mask" ...and maybe Klein got influence there. you, guys, have to look closer and not only view one reccurent element.

nowadays nothing is original. if you start like this i can tell you that all very contemporary art is bullsh*t and not original...Avant-Garde already made it move on...but it's not possible to be so negative everytime there's always a new element somewhere, a new idea, a new "air", something new's brought...

Steven Klein see the future as being a sooo pure element that we could not even breath normaly! and use the oxygen mask...
Sigur Ros don't show us a religious army wearing an Alexander McQueen's kimono but they show as Klein here, an Apocalypse's coming!

At modelshommes they talked about Gore's movie...I think it would be a more appropriate comparison and influence!

i'm sorry but this story is genius. colours, subject, style choices, lights...

oh and Sigur Ros' video reminds me of Total Recall

(i might look like being angry but i had a really really bad day and wanted to share my only "happy" thing of the day : this editorial...)

p.s : i made a mistake. it's not Steven Meisel, but Steven Klein!

is it steven klein or meisel???

Steven Klein.
(what i wrote before was pretty ridiculous. sorry but i had a bad day!)

The only model that I am certain of is (the very very sexy) Kian Mitchum. I am fairly certain that I spot Evandro, but don't hold me to it.

Only editoirial in the magazine? I'm not too familiar with L'Uomo Vogue but this editorial is quite good. Yes it was reminscent of the Sigur Ros video, but other than the gas masks, it is quite different in aspects. The colouring and light of the editorial is great, giving it a grim atmosphere that accompanies the clothes very well........especially love the harsh lighting in a few of the shots, and the red accompanying the darkness of the photos in the 4th set..

!!!

he is so absolutely lovely.
i`ve read an interview with him where he talks about W shoot (with Meisel where they had to crossdress) and it is : )

Models: Joshua Walter, Cosmin Petre, Reid Prebenda and Bev Moore.

I can' t recognise the rest :flower:

I don't like it so far but I'm sure I'd like it in print... Not excited though.

I like the idea and colours.:flower:
I don't get to see as many male ed's as i would like,i wish there were more
this is one is good though

Need to see more men's fashion editorials like this, the aesthetic quality is AMAZING. Obviously like Berlin mentioned elsewhere, Shalom/Klein US Vogue one was also about the environment and very good but this has some mind blowing shots (in the greenhouse esp.)

Thanks again :flower:

Two of my favorites, Steven Klein and Patti Wilson! I remember really trying to like this ed when I first saw it but it just didn't work for me. Now that I'm seeing it years later, gotta love it!

Wooow, all of these L'Uomo updates...
I must admit I've always been in anticipation of the better quality shots from this Meisel ed, it's among ultimate favourite eds of mine and still so relevant, thank you very much for sharing!
