Lots of superhot pleats, plays with the ultra-now metalic zips, asymetrical cuts, inventive re-constraction, bold knit stripes, blue-red-light gray, satin, fantastic skirts and a touch of fringe, made Lutz's winter collection one of the hottest in Paris during the fashion week.
Unfortunately, my :P exclusive shots  are not that good (first show I went to this season, so I did not know the trick with moving the camera following the model when shooting) but for few of us here, even 'bad' Lutz shots are good Lutz shots

enjoy

 I am just horrible horrible trash without firstVIEW Parisian collections!

I  the pleated back of this dress... very Adeline André for now.

It looks most interesting... like no set process for many of the pieces but instead he just stopped when it looked finished enough and then "glued" it to make sure it stayed. (Unless those are "satin" edges on the middle skirt in the second plate in which case I'll have to amend that. )

I so  that you have these blurry beautiful pictures regardless!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. 8)

he mixed fabrics in lots of his skirts xopher, mainly satin with 'dull' menswear fabrics, a real cool show, just wish i had more presentable shots

glad you found this interesting 8)

thanx lena for those "impressionist" pictures

[ot:8d1633d9ac]so sad you could not make it to some of the shows with me but I know you had to take care of your japanese clients, it could be fun.. maybe next season? [/ot:8d1633d9ac]

Thank you for the pictures, Lena! It makes me feel like I was there, too!!! Which, of course, I wasn't. :?

(I will have to live vicariously through you, Lena!  )

Lena - it's great to see the 'live' pictures.

I loved the use of different fabrics here - very cleverly done.

 Not I... I'm sure my post was something along the lines of:

"I'm right with you on this, Lèna.
In fact at the end of this past summer I was looking for some in black or brown nubuck. The thought of another open-toe sandal season makes me :x . "[/ot:82c8f54dfe]

Lutz's Optimistic Lightness
By Karl Treacy

Even with The Smiths belting out their trademark tales of northern woe on the soundtrack, the show that German designer Lutz showed Thursday morning in the palatial setting of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts bristled with optimism.

Wearing sequined leg warmers or armlets and silver clogs, the models Lutz sent down the runway reinforced his cool vigor and exploration of technique and draping. But they did it with a light air, as stripy scarves looped around their necks and playfully slunk behind them.

Lutz, who is particularly strong when it comes to knitwear, fused, for example, camel cable knit with sheer red mohair to produce inventive looks that wrapped around the torso or gave a trompe l'oeil layering effect. Perfectly simple -- and classic Lutz -- were matador-high pleated-front black pants paired with a snug sweater.

As he continued to wrap and fold and drape sweaters and shirts around the body, the designer also introduced zips that crisscrossed and opened to reveal glimpses of the body and clothing beneath.

Lutz's nonchalant couture technique took full flight when he produced knife-edge pleated dresses based on overalls and cinched with elasticized ribbing. Similar pleats made up asymmetric skirts, like flipped over dungarees, and were cool in wool. A fine, pleated wool jersey sat alongside a thick vertical rib that mimicked the same effect.

Lutz's concessions to micro lengths and transparency came when jackets were edged with long fringe. A flash of leg through the hanging threads was a more intelligent take on flirtatious clothing.

 should I re-post the missing Lutz' photos ? what do you think

here are the missing Lutz photos, I could not attach those at the start of the topic, xopher, if you can, help to bring this attachement to the start of the topic, I'm a bit useless

i saw the show yesterday on Fashion Tv. some very cool sweaters but i thought they could have worked the skirts better. they seemed to be showing the same one every time

  Guess who's featured on style.com as an up-and-come-r?

:ninja: déjà-vu.. :innocent:

:woot: Great for him still. :flower: :glare:
