Luuc Brans I saw in Ilovefake magazine. Don’t forget the second “u” in this Dutch prodigy. Luuc Brans models. Luuc Brans lives in Amsterdam.
Luuc Brans is 17 and at such a ripe age he has worked with one of my favourite photographers Jolijn Snijders. Did you catch our interview with Jolijn? Luuc makes me feel good about being skinny (that’s a compliment). So let’s get to know our new friend Luuc.
Trey Taylor: Can you please fill this out?
Name: Luuc
Age: 17
Occupation: Relaxing all day.
Currently Resides: Amsterdam
Favourite Song: Eerm.. my last.fm says Coldplay - I Ran Away… but i like Don’t Panic better…
Trey Taylor: Luuc. Tell us all about your life as a 17 year old. What happened to you until now?
Luuc Brans: A lot.
TT: How did you come into modeling? What’s the story of discovery?
LB: I was bored during school and decided to take an hour off with one of my best friends.
We were walking down one of the main shopping streets in Amsterdam to the nearest supermarket when this stranger jumped in front of me. That stranger is now my mother agent (Republic).
TT: Do you have aspirations to make it to the top of the business? Do you believe you can sell your beauty to become number one?
LB: I have a lot of aspirations in this life, only some of them are in this modelling career. I want to make it to the top of the business.
But I’m not sure if I can. It’ll probably take much time and energy, but I am driven to make it.
TT: Did you consider yourself good looking before you were a model? I hope you have a hot girlfriend.
LB: Haha, no, I didn’t [consider myself good looking]. Actually, I still don’t consider myself good looking, I only consider myself photogenic.
My girlfriend… she’s better looking than me.
TT: Do you have any dreams besides modeling?
LB: I want to have a successfull political career. I want to do something for the [dutch] society and want to improve the country.
I think the best way to do this is by going into politics. I’m actually already member of a political party.
TT: Since you were born, and grew up, what have you learned?
LB: Life is life.
TT: Did you, or do you, find it awkward trying to come up with poses and look serious in front of a camera?
LB: Yeah, especially in the beginning. Now however, I don’t find it awkward anymore, it’s just part of the job.
TT: What do you want in this life?
LB: Live
TT: Leave us with something we can go Dutch over.
LB: Wie dit leest eet poep.
