Maïwenn Le Besco

I was flicking through this month's issue of L'Officel and came across a a picture of a stunning woman. That woman was Maïwenn and I decided to start a thread on her on that picture alone. Crazy, huh?

Background info: She was born in 1976, in Paris (so that makes her 30) and is a French actress. Her most prominent role to date is that of the alien diva, Plavalaguna in The Fifth Element.
In fact she was once engaged to the director, Luc Besson and they had a daughter called Shanna in 1993.

And for those of you wondering, her name is pronounced " My-wenn".

Ah! Thank you for posting this! I think she's great. Very unique-looking. She was also in "The Professional" (prostitute in the beginning). She went through a lot of emotional trauma trying to become a famous child actress, apparently.

I heard about how her mother was really pushy, determined to make her star. It reminded me very much of Milla Jovovich, ironically since she ended up marrying Luc Besson!
