Maddie Welch

I guess she's that kind of girl doing better in Europe. Especially Paris! Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Miu Miu,(Alexander McQueen), Balenciaga, Kenzo, Wunderkind, LV... she'd be perfect for that sort of shows.

Ten shows in NY, not a bad tally but I wish she would been booked for some big shows.. she would have been perfect for Marc Jacobs no?

did she actually have a showcard for Milan  ? But I agree, I can imagine her fitting quite well into that parisienne look

I just worked with her, shooting my first look book. She is amazing. So professional and sweet. It was an outdoor shoot and it was really windy and cold. She didn't complain once, and as soon as we took the coat off her, she morphed from Maddie into this incredible model with fantastic poses and facial expressions. She's going to Asia for a few months, I can't wait to see how she does over there.

Maddie Welch by Benny Horne | Russh March/April 2010
Model newcomer Maddie Welch (Specimen Management) takes on daring and edgy looks for her latest work in Russh’s March-April edition. Captured by Benny Horne and styled by Morgan Pilcher, Maddie has the perfect nonchalant attitude in pieces from Helmut Lang.

^its lovely, isnt it ? Ive heard that she has a few other only girls stories coming out, someone mentioned LULA :innocent: :shifty:

The Benny Horne shots are stunning, he managed to capture her unique 'cool girl but I could care less' vibe perfectly.

^ Couldn't agree more. She's so perfectly portrayed in these  The second and last shot are my favs.

So, in contrast to the shots above: here we have the lovely side of Maddie ^_^

I really like her but I can't help but feel like she came into the industry at the wrong time. I think she would have done amazingly well if she started out in SS09 with Imogen/Dorothea or Amanda Laine.

Good call, I think you are absolutely right.

She looks lovely in the new editorial.
