When Madonna stepped out of her hotel this week in the fashion capital of the world, headed for the first of her sold-out string of Paris concerts, she still managed to turn heads despite sporting a decidedly casual look.

All eyes were on the music superstar outside the exclusive George V hotel as she stepped into her limousine wearing an Eighties-style turquoise velour tracksuit, her hair pulled back in a simple ponytail.

Of course, unlike the average dressed-down woman on the go, Madonna accessorised her low-key outfit with some glamorous accessories – a Chanel handbag and trendy oversized Dior ski sunglasses, seen on fellow divas such a Victoria Beckham in recent months.

By the evening, however, the chamelonic star had transformed into her larger-than-life, perfectly coiffed stage persona for her Re-Invention tour. She was originally due to play only two nights in Paris, but a pair of additional shows – which soon sold out – were added after the opening performance tickets were snapped up in just 30 minutes

that's better than her last appearance! Can't you see she looooves the attention!

^^^ Yeah, the glasses look totally different in that colour. I have them in black with white arms and they just look sleek but not goggle-like. I don't like the ones she is wearing.

this is something thats been on my mind for a while throughout her re-invention tour....

has she been washing her hair every morning before the concert?
she always seems to have that wet look scraped back hair in the mornings, and big long curly hair in the evening

Save the goggles for the slopes Madge.

Agreed.

But I think she looks good... I like the whole tracksuits thing. If I was a star, I'd be tired of always having to wear glitzy clothing. Track suits are a departure

People are getting decidely dressed down these days. Which is a pity.
