Magazines in Korea

Hi! A friend of mine is going to South Korea today and I want to ask her to bring me some foreign mags. I don't know Korean so I want her to get english language magazines. Do you know if they are available in Korea? Because here where I live there are no place to buy foreign magazines
I don't know what to ask for Heeeeeeelp!!!!!!

well i can tell you that i am living in south korea right now and that there are few spots where you can find international english magazines.

that being said, it's certainly possible. they are at most LARGE bookstores (ie Bandi & Looni's) and maybe a few shops in Itaewon (in Seoul).

still, tell your friend to bring a bunch of cash, because it will cost her about 20,000won (approx. US$20.00) for a single copy of US, British or Paris Vogue -- more for Vogues from other countries.

other magazines (ie Numero, i-D, V, etc) are waaaaaaaaaay more expensive. I wanted to by the newest V Man mag the other day, but it was about US$50.00. so i had to pass.

if none of that matters to you, then tell her her only hope is right in Seoul, and then in a foreigner heavy area like Gangnam or Itaewon.

She is going to Incheon....and I only gave her 35$
May be it's better to buy something other than foreign mags
What is cheap in S.Korea? But at least she can buy one of Vogues if sertainly she'll find it

she may or may not be able to find any of the international magazines in Incheon. she'll likely find a "Time" or "National Geographic", but for fashion magazines. . . i don't know.

i haven't been here long enough to recommend anything else that may be interesting either. though she'll be able to get many traditional korean things for cheap prices.

She is going to stay for about a month, I've asked her about Korean Vogue already but I can't read Korean At least I'll watch the photos

OH!!!!! Thanks for posting! Now I'm thinking of how to tell my choise to her - she is already in Korea but didn't take her cell phone
I like many covers and I've seen the same photo of JLo as in Korean Allure in Russian Glamour magazine
