why is every other model named jablonski? constance, maggie, jacquelyn, are any related?

No, its just a common Polish surname, a lot of people who are of Polish descent share the name. In Poland however the last name would be changed to the feminine form, Jablonska, but that doesn't happen in the US (or France) so they all have the exact same one.

Spring Summer 2014 Prada Campaign girl, Maggie Jablonski is in town and she's an absolute dream!

Just this season she walked for the likes of Chanel, Moschino, Missoni, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Phillip Lim and Proenza Schouler to name a few!

We caught up with her before she headed out in London Town...

Is this your first time in London?

Yes! It's so nice, every time I ever thought of London I would picture it being very iconic with the telephone booths and red buses and it's exactly how I pictured it but it's not raining which is amazing!

What do you want to see?

Firstly all the obvious things of course, Big Ben, the London Eye, my mum knows more tourist spots than I do. She has a London guide book and loves it! So she's really good and knowing where to go and I'm really good at getting us there. With model castings you have to be good at getting yourself places. New York is so easy because everything is on a grid and it's my home, Paris is kind of easy but Milan! I'm just like 'get me a driver!'

What's been your career highlight so far?

Of course it has to be Prada, it was really cool. I was the youngest model to do it ever, I was 14 when it came out!

You are much more mature than most 15 year old's Maggie!

Yeah I think when modelling you learn how to communicate better, so much of the job is about personality and I have two older sisters (16 and 18) who are so confident, they teach me a lot.

What was it like to work with Steven Meisel on the Prada campaign?

I thought it would be really intense because he is so major but the vibe was really cool, the shoot was a whole week and I got to know all the girls so it was a blast. I made really good friends with a lot of the girls too, Amanda Murphy is like a big sister to me now.

Who would be your dream person to work with?

I would love to work with Mert&Marcus they're so rad! I just think their images are perfection and I would LOVE to work with Hedi Slimane, the gothy, punky, girly look that Saint Laurent has is beautiful, it would be a dream to walk in that show. Oh and Gucci, of course, I would love to do anything with Gucci.

How would you describe your style?

Urm.. black and grey! At home I get called Goth all the time but I wear what I feel comfortable in and I feel empowered with my cargo boots on, I think I've finally found what I'm into, black skinny jeans and grey t-shirts.

Do you have any travel tips? What essentials do you bring?

I have about a 1000 pairs of Nike socks, I get blisters and they're the only things that stop them. Also, band aids because you will end up getting blisters with all the shoes you need to put on. Urm, I also pack 3 pairs of the exact same black skinny jeans and another tip would be always try to look semi decent on the plane because you never know if you'll have to go to a job or a casting straight from the plane, I made that mistake once...

What do you miss most when you're away from home?

I miss family and friends, it's weird, when I'm at home I want to be here and when I'm here I want to be at home. I miss living the teenage life, doing stuff like going to the mall and talking about boys.

What's your favourite book?

I've just finished this book called 'The Fault In Our Stars' it's really good! and I've read all the Twilight books, I'm not sorry about it. I also LOVE 'The Hunger Games'

Finally, If you could have a superpower what would it be?

To read minds! Then I could be at a casting and be like 'what's up?' 'Do you really like me?' 'Is that smile fake?'
