Do some people know this website ?
MANYSTUFF / manystuff.org (founded by a french girl... ;) )
She has recently launched a magazine....

For this first issue, Manystuff proposes to look into contemporary graphic creation through the prism of realism or even hyperrealism. At a time when a certain standardisation can be observed in numerical creation practices, a reinvestment can be seen in real space, its objects and its matter from which the designers obtain casual creations reflecting a concrete and true reality and highlighting the genesis of their forms.

i have this in my links list :bunny:

but now i'm thinking ,
what can i use it for ... :ermm: it's hard for me to get anything from it

some of the way information is displayed is interesting
i would wish there was a bit more eye candy
and that it had more "graphics"

any thoughts?

^well as the girl who owned the site is one of my friend.... I can tell some people say approx. the same than what you say... they don't know what to do with this....
Charlotte (this is her name) loves graphism and on her blog she just show images of graphism she likes.... It's like a subjective diary of what's done in graphism nowadays.... a sort of graphism trends journal.... It's like one way of looking graphism....
I still hadn't seen her magazine (achieved and printed) but what i saw last time i was at hers it was very good.... She did it with friends and her bf (Pierre Vanni - a young freelance graphist)

ooh a graphism trends magazine? :)
in that case, interesting topic

she posts about international designers, no?
not just designers based in France
so it would be international trends in graphics

maybe it would help if there is some kind of theme for each post
like she is making comparisons

Some of the hand-painted stuff I still see here
It reminds me of a magazine called Adbusters
and the work by MM Paris

------------------------------------------

There's a tFS thread where we talked a bit about trends...
http://www.thefashionspot.com/forum...design-trends-2007-your-prediction-51437.html

Speaking about just what I see locally,
here is an example of the William Morris-like prints I see here
http://www.thechemistrydesigns.com/

And this website here has a lot of the "swirls" I wrote about
http://www.carnylove.com/

I wonder if you or your friend sees this in international trends... :ermm:
I can't imagine my city "inventing" this style
