i REALLY like this bag and the colors he has it in are even better! im just wondering how a velvet bag would wear? hmmmmmm....i really like his fabric bags because they are soft and slouchy. does anyone have any and how do they hold up? and also, dooes anyone think this will go on sale?? thanks!

I the large teal blue bag. It reminds me of the martine sitbon ruched teal velvet heart bag that I wasn't able to get my hands on. Actually, I love all three of those bags.

I dont realy like the bag personally, the shape or the velvet. As Green mentioned, it really reminds me of the velvet heart bag.

I love the teal color, but I'm not a fan of the ornamentation -- too weird looking for me. Also, I'd be worried about how velvet holds up to heavy use.

so pretty... i love it! i adore velvet bags for fall/winter. some wear better than others... it seems to depend on how dense the pile is and what fibers the velvet is made of. from my experience, some velvets will get bald spots on the bottom of the bag over time from setting it down. if you pamper your bags then you shouldn't have this problem... i know i personally don't.

have you seen them in person? what is the fiber content and how squishy is the velvet, do you know? i really love the shape and the tassle! was thinking about getting this lauren merkin bag, don't know which i like better now (pic from anthropologie - i see it just went way on sale!

i think it is cotton velvet...so i was thinking if it does wear down, like velvet does, then it would have kinda a cool vintage look to it....i havn't seen it in person thoug. hey how much for the one at anthropology? that one is cute too. i love their stuff! and we have an anthroplogy store somewhat close, but no MJ stores....

the one at anthropologie is 160ish now, unfortunately the website is sold out of that lovely blue-green. i tried it on in the store, really lovely. the velvet is made of silk.

hopefully enough people will dislike this mj bag that it'll go very on sale, cause i love it
