    they even bore me...

I am troubled as to why he decided not only to design that horrible UFO looking lock that he first did for ss04, but why he would continue to use it. It is disgusting. Also, he seems to have abandoned his real talent. Large bags. I got so many fabulous huge totes from him over the years, and now the biggest thing you can find is a Stella bag. It is truly disapoing. It makes me regret selling off some of what I sold, because now I see I will never get anything as nice from him again. Ugh.

because some people are willing to pay for that much... although i shouldn't judge because as a teen i'd buy such ugly bags for so much money that now i feel ashamed of old myself!

on a lighter note, i bought a handbag like this in the sale for 30€... they were so cheap i bought two: black and burgundy. i am not a big fan of large hobos but the quality of the leather is super good and they're roomy, so they grew on me easily!

You are welcome nycgirl84 and Brian :flower:

I have to agree that the bags are plain and boring. They definitely don't look worth their price tag. :yuk:

    surprisingly, they are.
i mean, they're worthy of a high pricetag... just not the price that they're asking. $900 is a bit excessive, but marc jacobs' handbags are very very nice if you're looking for a rather "plain" utilitarian handbag that you can just use for years and years and get actual use out of rather than just having something pretty and of-the-moment, i think. their construction is fab, and the leather is extremely soft and supple... i love it, but i haven't bought one :p

I'm guessing the Marc Jacobs bags are the price range they are because they are good quality?

Made in Italy, good quality leather, italian components, good design . . . etc

You get what you pay for i'd say

I think they will last well and still look great in a couple of years

Otherwise there's always Juicy Couture bags, just knock off someone else's design (Luella Bartley's 'Gisele bag' javascript:emoticon('')) and then you don't have to pay a designer and just get them knocked up in China . . .

You'd think that with all the hype that he's earned in the past he'd try to further that and do something crazy...

    I guess not.

They are ok, but it seems like there aren't any new designs, all they do is carry over their items.

I actually like the lock on that bag that Prada posted... except I'd prefer it in nickel insead of the brass...
