The collection launches May 11:

It's only 2 pics but it doesn't look promising at all. God, I'm so sick to death of this logomania trend.
Looks like something for the hypebeasts.

If you were a suit at LVMH how much sense does it make to keep MJ as a brand? If they are trying to sell "luxury", lifestyle and desire (putting aside the subjectivity of these things), does MJ make sense? It seems like none of the execs make an effort to care about MJ or several other brands, or at least they don't give them the attention give to Dior or LV. Honestly, I would sell Birkenstock, JW, Kenzo, MJ, Off-white, patou. They make sense if you want to own as many brands as possible, but they don't make sense together, at least to me. I'm just thinking that some of these brands, don't have that heritage and prestige attached to them. Who associated Birkenstock and MJ with prestige? I had no idea Off-white existed and confused it with that mall brand with a similar name.

Honestly, I've forgotten that Marc Jacobs, Kenzo and Off-White existed.

Marc Jacobs' mainline is semi-operational: he doesn't do fashion week, I seldom see any collections in stores and I only see the "Heaven" line being marketed.

Kenzo has sort of fallen into irrelevance since Leon and Lin left in 2019. They had a rise in interest because of Nigo's appointment and debut, but they failed to follow up on it.

Off-White fell from relevance after Virgil's death and they didn't bother to find a decent replacement.

Patou is mediocre. Nothing more, nothing less. They could have pull a "Balenciaga" or a "Schiaparelli", but Patou doesn't have interesting or unique enough of an aesthetic to pull it off.

JWA makes sense at LVMH consider the founder's tenure at Loewe, but after that what happens?
