Margiela

Hello, I came across these black velvet pants with a "Margiela" label. I'm like 99.9% sure they are not Mason Margiela, as they seem cheaply made, but I just want to be sure. They seem to be from the 90s possibly, and I am not seeing any of his labels from before the 2000s. I believe he started in 1988, does anyone have any examples of his vintage labels from before the 2000s? I tried looking at trademark databases. There are no tags with an RN#.
