I love the hair darker (she looks less pagaent-y and more sultry) and the makeup, especially the lipstick, I like the brows too. It's the dress that is a let down, if she was wearing a lighter/brighter dress, that hair and makeup would have contrasted nicely.

I loved her Oscar look and I love how it changes from her GG look. She was much more edgy and interesting that all-black severe aesthetic. She also looked good at Miu Miu.

I don't think it was her (or stylist) choice. It's for a movie role

I like it just as much when she's all done up and with strong brows - just not when she's wearing little to no makeup, as her complexion veers towards ruddy. There are just some hair colours that require you to wear more makeup to make it work, I'm the same when I dye my hair on the darker side.

The 23-year-old The Wolf of Wall Street actress recently chatted with Elle about changing her hair color from blonde to brunette.

“Well I had to dye it brown for the role I just finished shooting in New Zealand and then on wrap I asked if we could just get the red out of it since I had to go to the Oscars. And we left it in for a little long and it went really dark. But it’s great though, I love it. It’s really fun,” Margot added.

When asked if it was the first time she’s gone dark, she said “No, I had it this color all through high school actually. I always dyed it dark in high school. I was devastated when I had to go blonde.”
