Yes, Richard Avedon photographed her. She did a whole session with him where she posed as 5 famous sex symbols.lady stardust said:marilyn poses like clara bow!

I think her eyes were blue. That's what I've read and from colour pictures her eyes look blue. I don't know if they had colour lenses back in the 1940s and 1950s but even if they did I don't think as a starlet and unknown model she would have had to wear them. Here are a couple of pictures I found when she wasn't a big star and her eyes look blue.Jadee said:Did she have blue or brown eyes ? I've seen tons of pics, dozens of her films and I still don't know.
Sometimes her eyes are blue sometimes they're brown. Did colored contacts exist in her times ?

Marilyn Monroe as Lillian Russell
Marilyn Monroe as Theda Bara
Marilyn Monroe as Clara Bow
Marilyn Monroe as Marlene Dietrich
Marilyn Monroe as Jean Harlow
The transformations are pretty amazing. Marilyn Monroe looks so different in each picture and has embodied each woman very well, in my opinon.

(this might spark some interesting conversation!) everytime i turn on the TV now I see some sort of comparison between the two. are they in the same league? what do you think?
