I just love Marilyn Monroe. She is so beautiful and has such a wonderful womanly figure. Old Hollywood stars just looked so much more healthy looking than a lot of the stars of today. I adore Marilyn in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. It is one of my favourite movies.
You're absolutely right she's so beautiful. I love her. She really is my idol. I'm not exactly a skinny person nor can I be considered fat but I do have similar a similar body type like Marilyn's, proudly, I used to hate my wide hips but watching her has made me adore my own body. She was so lovable. Have you seen the Seven Year Itch? That movie made me fall in love with her work. I've only seen the Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Misfits, There's No Business Like Show Business, and Niagra, but I want to see them all. When I want to use an alias I usually use the names Lorelei Lee, Roslyn Taber or Vicky Hoffman. Sometimes I even have the balls to use Norma-Jean Mortensen. I love her!! Soon I'll try to post my link to a site where I'll upload all my pics of her.

She had several miscarriages, but never had any children. She loved children, and rumours say she had gone to Mexico to adopt herself an orphan a few weeks before she died.

I just saw " The Misfits " in cinema last week. A wonderful film, and Marilyn was just pure perfection...you just had to stare her, you couldn't take your eyes off her.

One of my top 10 films. She had such sadness behind her eyes... but she was so reconciled to the world as it was -not because she liked it but because she couldn't do anything about it. I don't like the way people see her as a blonde bombshell because she was more. She had all of humanity betrayed in her face.

I love the picture where she is looking down with cigarette-just beautiful. Thanks tou you all for posting pictires.

Marilyn is immortal.
She is one of the few true legends on this planet.
Marilyn was not only a very talented actress, highly intellegent woman (who preferred reading books during breaks at movie sets-don't think she was silly just because she knew how to play the 'dumb blonde'!), but also beauty itself...she drove many men mad just because of her unique appearance, women adored or often envied her. besides she was full of ambition in every way, she made it from an orphan child to one of the greatest movie stars in the 50s. even today her look embodies still a beauty ideal, you often see images of her in magazines with beauty tips for full lips etc.
I love watching her movies and read nearly every book about her. She is fascinating me, but also a huge inspiration for me.

* Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did.*

I just watched the movie "The Misfits"and it took my breath away. She was so good in it.Its so sad watching it,because you know what happend to her,and the scene in the desert where she is screaming at them really broke me down. The whole movie is so "real",i find the title moore than appropriate or even ironic. And at the end of the movie when Monroe asks:How do you find your way back in the dark"and gets a response from Gable:"Just head for that big star, staraight on!"the word sad is not enough!

I love this scene from Some Like it Hot where the flask falls out of her garter and the two men behind her dressed as women take the blame. I love how things used to be so conservative like that.

Oh, I love that film, I saw it a couple weeks ago! Whoever said Monroe couldn't act anything else than comedy should see this one.

I was just wondering-I love the scene of her in the desert, screaming, but are you sure that the shot where she runs away and screams for the men from a distance is actually Marilyn? She was always late etc, and it kind of looks like an extra. I was just wondering this...
