Mario Badescu

Okay, I'm sold. Will order it soon ;) Just finished my glycolic acid toner, might order it again because I loved it. The 236ml bottle lasted me about 3 months...

I think I might order the silver powder as well :shifty: My nose is full of blackheads, and I'd love to get rid of them.

Ida, you always make me want to buy so much skin care

Why does everyone keep telling me that? Seriously, I have a bunch of karma messages telling me exactly that :ninja: I am SUCH a skin care junkie!

Ida, you so are!! But we worship you for it :)
I was wondering about mixing products though... I recommended the Enzyme Cleansing Gel to a friend and she wondered if the (mild) citric acids in it would have a reaction to the 10% AHA moisturizer she uses. Does anyone know if that's a big issue?

Well, I received my order last night so I had to try the silver powder :p it's very nice! I like the way it covers the skin.
At first I tried removing it with water but it didn't budge so I used my glycolic acid toner. After removing it my skin felt so soft and smooth, I was afraid it would make my skin dry or irritated but that didn't happen.
Then I put the Moisture Magnet on which feels nice but I can't say anything more about it because I just started using it. Today my skin hasn't been that oily today and it feels and looks great!
I'm still to try the Drying Lotion that I got as a gift but I'm waiting to get a blemish, lol.

Just ordered the Seaweed Night Cream, Complex Moisturizer With Vitamin E (SPF-20), and the Super Collagen Mask for my lovely mother who is 50 this year <3 I hope to age half as well :)

For me...I'm still trying to decided whatever to get the Glycolic Acid cleanser or the Enzyme cleanser...will update once I've settled on something <3

I have oily skin and get little under the skin bumps weekly, and a big old whitehead once in a while.

When I filled out the questionnaire on MB's site, it recommended that I get the Botanical Facial Gel. After looking at the ingredients, is this really a better choice than the Enzyme Cleansing Gel?

Seems like the Botanical Facial get doesn't contain much. What is "botanical extract" exactly? Where as the Enzyme Cleansing Gel at least has papaya extract and grapefruit extract as the 3rd and 4th ingredient.

Has anyone tried both cleansers?

Just grabbed the Drying Cream today, since my local store didn't have any Special Healing Powder. I'm skeptical but it wasn't too expensive. I would buy the glycolic toner since my skin does well with GA, but I'm not sure how much different it would be from the Alpha Hydrox gel that I already own. I also find it hard to believe that the glycolic wash would make such a difference since it's only on the skin for a moment.

^It does, trust me...pretty much everyone who have tried it just love it.

Interesting...maybe I'll get a sample. I assume you're using it as a follow up to a makeup remover/oil cleanser?

I settled on the glycolic acid cleanser and I love it! My skin glows after using it and it completely removes dried skin, roughness, and the oil slicks on my T-zone. I use it on my Clarisonic brush so it gets amazingly foamy and cleanses deeply.

My only word of caution: Do Not Get This In Your Eyes.

My right eye was extremely painful and uncomfortable after I took my deep cleansing ritual to another level last night :< But, I'm completely sold on Mario. I'm taking back my cleanser by Kiehls tomorrow and getting the seaweed cleanser from Ulta so I have something gentler to use than the GA. I also ordered the oil control lotion, seaweed night cream, and their cellulite lotion for the thighs and bum ;) I'll be sure to review all of them once I've had a chance to use them for a bit (I adore hearing about everyone's experience with products, and yes, Ida it does make me want to buy a ton of product after reading your posts….you make skincare sound so poetic somehow lol)

I use it 2-3 times a week as en exfoliant. It's not a face wash/cleanser. It will probably dry you out if you use it every day ^_^

I just did that! F*CK that hurt

I just really love skin care  I can shower and cleanse and put on moisturizer all day long. My boyfriend loves it too! You should see our bathroom and bedside tables...crazy

Hi girls!
this is what im planning to get this week!

Glycollic cleanser.
Sliver powder.
drying lotion or buffering lotion.

My skin is pretty weird plus staying in a country that is summer(humid and crazily hot) all year round makes my skin flare up even worst during my monthly cycles.

I was thinking whther i should get the buffering lotion instead of drying lotion.
my zits are really strong( they seemed to be able to withstand any product after long term used)
i'm using topicalErythromycin gel but like i said seems like my zits are getting used to the pimple gel :/
usually it clears in 3 days. now it take 1 week.

because i do get occasional cys when i eat tonnes of heaty food or anything chocolate.
my main concern is my forehead outbreaks and scarrings:/
and blackheads on my nose.

i plan to target on clearing up my zits before the scars.

ps: sorry if i did OT. but im excited to try out MB after reading from page 1:)

plastikparty,

That seems like a good start to start clearing your skin. I love the glycolic cleanser and it seems to help with the scarring as well, my skin looks more even and bright afterwards. But, it could be the vitamin E I've been mixing into my evening routine that's faded most the marks. Let us know how it works!

The glycolic foaming cleanser has made my skin so much better, my forehead is so much clearer and mroe even. I really recommend it :)

I'd try the buffering lotion if I were you, I have the drying lotion and I'm not in love with it.. it has a very odd smell.

I'm assuming the glycolic foaming cleanser works as a exfoliant? Or does it work as a cleanser? ????????????????/

Would you guys recommend getting the enzyme cleansing gel or the glycolic foaming cleanser?

And can I find these products at a Sephora store?

^It does work as a cleanser BUT...it's not for daily use. It does remove makeup and so on, but it's not to be used as a daily cleanser unless you have very oily skin because it exfoliates your skin as well.

The Glycolic Foaming Cleanser didn't work too well for me, not sure why
I found it quite gentle so maybe it wasn't potent enough for me or something. However has anyone tried the Glycolic Gel? I'm assuming that's stronger. I'm just looking for something that will help me with some lingering whiteheads and blackheads.

^Just use it a few times more per week if that is what your skin needs. The glycolic gel is actually very gentle, it takes a couple of days to show results, and they are not as dramatic (on me) as with the foaming cleanser. But sometimes my skin doesn't do well with water, and then I just use it at night.
