Mario Sorrenti (b.1971) was born in Naples, Italy, but has lived in New York since the age of ten. Self-taught, he comes from a family of photographers and artists. His earliest projects were highly personal black-and-white images assembled in dense diaries. These caught the eye of art director Phil Bicker and led to his first advertising commission with Calvin Klein. His career has featured advertising campaigns for leading fashion houses and beauty brands including Prada and Yves St Laurent and his editorial work is featured in magazines such as W, Vogue and Another Magazine. Sorrenti's photographic vision is underpinned by his interest in the camera as a tool for experimentation and a fascination with the process of making images.

Mario Sorrenti...didn't have his own thread? Is that because he was included in the Sorrenti family thread?

^ possibly...but I think he should have his own thread too. I'm sure when people see the first picture in this thread they will forget about those other sorrentis

I love his work with Lara Stone :woot: will post soon.

Uh sorry, but I don't see the point ? There's already a thread that features many of his work, so I don't see the point for this one.You could just as much post in the other thread.

because I just want to see his work, not the other sorrentis + it's much more efficient and organised to have threads for individual photographers.

Oh so, people have to just agree and get along with what YOU think is better ?

I still don't see the point. You open the other thread and 80 % of it is dedicated to his work, so what's the urge ?

So what do people have to do with the other thread ? Not post his work in it ? It's completely useless and confusing.

But hey knock yourself out posting editorials which have already been posted.
