Yes, darling, she's a model, and a very good one.

Remember, before she started this job, she was a surfer- Marissa certainly didn't plan on modeling, so she wasn't meticulous about her skin. When surfing for hours of the day, every day, every week, one might get pretty tan, don't you think?

Also, SI tends to rub oil on their swimsuit models, particularly Marissa- as said in the Spike TV interviews.

As for Victoria's Secret, they purposely make her look tanner than usual. In some of her pictures, she looks considerably lighter.

I've always thought that as well. But, she is still beautiful. I just hope it doesn't effect her in the future.
