I've always wondered why Victoria's Secret waited so long to sign her because I used to see her in the catalogues a lot even before she was signed with them. She was always doing the swimsuit shoots for them, but she hadn't even walked in a show until 2007 (I think) and even Miranda Kerr had walked in a show before her. If I were her, I'd be pissed that Chanel Iman got a contract so fast lol. I'm not a big fan of Marisa's, but she has undeniable commercial appeal, especially in America and she's American, obviously, so she can really communicate well with the media. Sometimes, it just puzzles me how VS goes about picking their Angels.

You mean catalog work vs contract in regards to Chanel Iman ? Cause she is not a 'new VS Angel' as it was speculated.

But yeah I truly admire Marisa's patience and good manners, id probably be sort of 'pissed' as you say lol if I was working for them so long and didnt get more appreciation ( money is not what I mean obviously) or only 2 outfits in VSFS 2009.

Marisa's been working for VS since 2001/2002 around same time when Ale started too but many people tend to forget about that. Glad there are some who know the real deal
She is definitely the best spokesperson they have. ( maaay be after Heidi) Theres a reason why VS people pick Marisa so often to take part in all those tv shows.

Swim is smth she rocks anytime and every time but she is just as amazing for vs lingerie too. I wish there were new eds with her, really havent been many this year

My boyfriend just told me that he got to meet her recently because he manages a restaurant in Monterey that she goes to every once in a while. She talked to him about her "special dietary restrictions" and how she couldn't have gluten, but he said she was very nice and polite. I was so jealous I didn't get to see her!
