She was one of the most fabulously dressed stars ever.

In her Paris apartment she kept her shoes in a Louis Vuitton trunk placed under a grand piano.

Also she would be sewn into her gowns, and 10 mm pearls placed strategically as to make the nipples appear larger than life. As well as inserting surgical needles into the forehead attached to a wig since face-lifts weren't effective enough.

Wow- that's a little more self-maintenance than I'm willing to do. But she looked great.

Surgical needles!!! Ouch! But, she was fabulousness incarnated.

imo quite extravagant in her old days, but wonderful while young :)

John Galliano's after going and designing an ostentatious timepiece with jewels and pearls for Dior, using her as his inspiration. The D'Trick watch

I adore Ms. Dietrich, so glamorous.

Glamour is what I sell, it's my stock in trade. - Marlene Dietrich.

Ouch I thought I'd heard of that before but I thought I was imagining it. How did she not bleed?

If there was no Marlene Dietrich, there would have been no Marilyn Monroe and Madonna and possibly most actresses trying to imitate old hollywood
