I'm sorry but the shadowing on Raquel's face is horrid, not to mention the hair akwardly placed over her face somehow ages her very badly in this image. What's even scarier is that usually everyone looks good in B&W....guess I was wrong.

The fragrance is reported to be quite ‘individual’ not evoking anything in particular. It’s for the woman who dresses for herself, who doesn’t follow trends but is sophisticated and also may be a little eccentric.

I guess that's why they picked my beloved Raquel but the art direction scores low on the fashion bell curve. I hope it's a contract that they'll change the ad next season. Still happy that she got another campaign though.

I agree with Dennis that although it's great to see her in a new campaign, it's not a very appealing ad. A complete waste of Raquel + Nick Knight imo.

for me, this is quite a letdown, to be honest. i dont find the picture timeless or 'marni' at all. maybe it's raquel, as i would imagine someone not so mainstream to represent the marni face and maybe it's nick knight. the image looks flat and even cheap. but maybe it will look better irl.

i actually don't dislike the campaign as i enjoy the simplicity. it actually kind of makes me think of the more recent balenciaga parfum ads with charlotte gainsbourg which were very straightforward....and even further something quite reminiscent of the old jil sander campaigns from the 90's.

So glad it's first time for Marni to promote a campaign and I hope the rtw collection campaign would soon come out. Raquel still looks good in it but I don't like the bottle.

Marni's first fragrance comes out in February, and we have an exclusive first look at their video commercial, which stars Brazilian model Raquel Zimmerman. Sure, you only see her head and shoulders, but just imagine all the things that could be happening outside the camera frame. A hunky photo assistant fanning her with a palm frond, perhaps, or a full tiki bar, or even frolicking penguins! Or maybe just nudity.
