Those last two looks, especially the last one in post 4, are my favorites .. very representative of the collection but still forward.. the entire collection (and presentation) reminds me of their 2005-2006 shows, they even cast some of the models used back then. I loved last season's collection but I like how they swing between exploring elements traditional to them and venturing into new territory the next season, it's refreshing.

i like all the short dresses...
it's much more kawaii than i am used to from them...
i'm used to a more serious feeling, but i like this direction very much...
it feels light and airy...
partly because of the fabrics, colours and prints...
but also because of the shapes...

there's something very classic and modern about the shift dresses...
like a modern jackie O or audrey hepburn...
the little black dress with the twisted knot necklace is pretty perfect from what i can see...

i am also a sucker for rope necklaces...
(i confess that i convinced my friend to buy one and then i stole it from her...lol...
i like it much more than she does, so she let me have it...)
...

not sure i really see that in the collection except in the accessories though...

I see the rope layered dresses are from shark nets while the mesh fabrics and all the gril patterns are from shark proof cages.

while i like rope necklaces, these are not my fave...
but, now that you mention it, i do have a rope belt from helmut lang
i was just looking at it yesterday and thinking "i should really wear this"...

so...i found these shoes from capezio...
they seem to be in the same category...
the little platform sole on the matohu gives it more weight, but it's the same idea...

i guess i shouldn't be surprised...
i do have a weak spot for dance shoes and dancewear...
i guess that's why i am so drawn to shoes like this...

i have to say- the detail shots really drive home the amazing quality of the textiles used here...
the fabrics are soooo beautifully woven...
you can really see it in this last batch of pics...

and the blues are so nice together, especially in the shoes...
and the short blue/grey dress has such an amazing print..like glass tiles...
i can't tell if it's printed on or woven in but the grey makes the blue even more blue, if that's possible...
so good...

i was just reading their site and what they wrote about 'the japanese eye'...
so i guess this IS some new direction for them...
while it is still traditional...

i also saw that they have a web shop and the striped long knit coat in navy/black is just ridiculously amazingly gorgeous...
i can't tell- is it two coats in one?...
i think it is!...OMG!...*faints*


i also love the texture on the black coat---it seems like crocodile to me...but maybe it is some exotic shark?!


also, i found this-
i thought it was a belt- so i got all excited, becuase i keep looking for good belts and never find one...
but i see that they showed it as a necklace on the runway...

this was my fave print- i could tell that the fabric was woven beautifully from the images...
it's almost 3-D...like tiles at the bottom of a pool...

and these PANTS!!!...
OMG---i just had to post them because they are cut soo soo beautifully and just tapered to perfection...
and look look look....
there is a button on the INSIDE of the ankle...!!!
completely invisible from the outside...
keeping the silo of the leg perfectly slim...
...

could you die?!?
*faints*
...

even the pocket is cut at just ever so slight an angle...
sooo f***ing cool...

i can't...it's too amazing!...
...ahhh...the japanese eye...

it is a belt indeed. then, if you like, it can be used as a neckace too.
just like your white belt with heavy metal weapon.
the buckle is a bottle opener made of nanbu iron (iron called nanbu-tetsu, e.g. the one in a pic below)
but it is sold out in both colors !
