W. what is the muscle club?

M.H The Muscle Club is fast, shouty, punkish stuff, I guess. We wanted to be called the VIP Party Boys but that name was already taken so we went for the next homoerotic name we could think of…

W. what was your first single?

M.H Our first single was a double A-side 7″ that we put out ourselves – you can still get copies via our myspace. Then a few months later we signed to Smalltown Records and they put out our new EP, ‘Fragmented Ideas From Young Lungs’.

W. where can people get your music from?

M.H Well they can buy it at shows and via our myspace/label website:http://smalltownrecords.co.uk/ …or I suppose you could just stream it for free on Spotify.

W. was it true your band member was once the fourth sexiest man in wales?

M.H I’m not sure. You’d have to consult the Welsh press…

W. apart from the model guitarist, what do the rest of the band do?

M.H Well, you know, we’re all primarily magicians but we have other things going on too…

W. whats next for muscle club?

M.H We’ve got a load of shows coming up – we’re playing London a few times around fashion week time. We’re playing The Lexington with Jamie Ley on the 14th of September and Camden Barfly on the 19th.
