How did you experience this Prada show?
'Backstage it was very hectic. There were incredibly many cameras right before the show! Your eyes just hurt from all those flashes. We had to wait a long time before we could actually get on the catwalk, so the tension was really cut. I only saw Miuccia Prada myself during the hair and make-up test and fitting. Yes, after that, just as fleetingly after the show. After the show I was so over the moon myself ; I could hardly understand that I had really walked the Prada show. "
Where did you stay in Milan and how did the city come to you in the hectic of fashion week?
"First two days in an apartment with a different model, Ilona, from my desk. When she left, I moved to another apartment in a hotel. I thought it was quite a special experience, because you could see models everywhere on the street in Milan. My favorite moment in Milan? That was of course on the catwalk; I felt like I was dreaming. After the show I was so happy and relieved, because I was also very nervous about it. '
Have you always dreamed of doing modeling work?
'Not really. I was always very insecure and I certainly did not think I would be scouted. But when that suddenly happened, I thought: why not? Trying can not hurt. "
Do you come from a family where fashion also plays a role?
"My mother used to dress on the sewing machine for my sisters and me. One of my sisters is also busy with fashion. She is currently studying at AMFI (Amsterdam Fashion Institute) and is doing an internship at the fashion magazine ELLE. '
What are your interests besides modeling work?
'Everything that has to do with fashion. To be specific clothes - where I find it super fun to shop vintage clothes with my sister. The same also applies to interior. So something in that direction I see myself doing after my model career. '
Which women are an example for you?
'I do not know if she really is an example for me, but I think Kate Moss is beautiful and I admire her career as a model. She also started at a very young age, just like me. "
What gives you an adrenaline rush, an immediate feeling of happiness?
"Of course my exclusive for Prada. In addition, a bit cliché, but good marks at school. That I have achieved something that I worked hard for, but also felt nervous about.
