I'm afraid that this Dublin indie pop group's official site has been hacked, so I'll quote from their Last FM bio.

MAUD IN CAHOOTS is Dublin sisters Maud and Zoe Reardon. Maud a violinist and Zoe a cellist, they began playing music at a very young age. Through school and college they continued with their classical studies but always wanted to perform and write their own music so on Maud's last day in college in Dublin she decided to jump on a plane to New York city to pursue this dream. Zoe, stayed in Dublin with still one year to complete of her music and drama degree and Maud arrived in New York on her own and lonely! She spent the year recording as a solo artist in such studios as THE CUTTING ROOM and DUBWAY studios with her violin, soulful vocals and irish charm opening many doors for her. However it was not until younger sister Zoe joined Maud in New York that MAUD IN CAHOOTS was born. The sisters began playing with top New York musicians and finally found their voice. With a unique line up of violin, cello, tuba, piano and percussion MAUD IN CAHOOTS is a return to what the girls know best – playing real music. Opening to rave reviews at Lucky Jack's, in New York's trendy Lower East Side on the night of October 29th 2009 their sound has been described as 'powerful and dramatic'. With performances during the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas as well as shows in Philadelphia and Houston things have been busy for the talented sisters in America. In May 2010, Irish audiences got a taste of Maud in Cahoots as the band played sold out shows in The Academy, Dublin (supporting THE ANTLERS), The Village and Bewley's Café Theatre with Hotpress Magazine stating that "Maud in Cahoots are undisputedly one of the finest unsigned acts in the country". Emerging as the winner of the Guinness OUR THURSDAYS showcase, Maud in Cahoots supported SNOW PATROL at St. James's Gate on the 23rd of September with Maud joining the band for a 'spine – tingling' rendition of their song 'Set the fire to the Third Bar'. Momentum certainly seems to be building on both sides of the Atlantic for the young Dublin sisters. Currently recording their debut record with top producers in London we're set to hear a lot more from MAUD IN CAHOOTS this year!
