MaxMara S/S 11 Milan

I love it, I like almost every single look and would totally wear smth like these, love these creamy colours

Great collection! Colorful, breezy minimalism done right. One of the better collections this season in Milan I think...

Finally MaxMara is back to looking beautiful.
Some fantastic pieces, though my only grudges were with those looks that literally encoporated backless sportswear tops with a pair of black shorts? And there were so many of those looks! It seemed like a decadent waste of models and a waste of my memory - I can remember those looks instead of the better looks like the massive yellow dress and the ivory tailoring.
Another quarm was with the fitting of some of the tailoring - it could have been a lot better; I specifically remember a satin-lapel jacket worn by Freja Beha Erichsen pulling across her chest.
Otherwise: Really nice, a fresh, on-trend, wearable, luxurious collection.

You know there's a problem when anything is pulling across Freja Beha's chest. :lol: The collection was nice, there were definitely pieces I really really enjoyed, but then some of those neon pants and shorts were not so great for me. They weren't totally flattering on the models, made some of them look like they had significantly wider hips, which I think we can all agree none of these girls really have those.

It's safe but still very pretty. I like the backless suit and dresses - very light, clean and sophisticated. It's weird that MaxMara actually delivered the minimal trend better than Jil Sander... :unsure:

I still like it and I just love the contrast between hard and soft, white and neon. I'd wear every single piece of this for spring + the shoes and bags were to die for.

I'll gave them credits for the fantastic use of colors. The clothes are not transcending but the clash between the classic looks and those delightful neon colors, dynamise the whole show. And I prefer this kind of approach from Max Mara rather than the camel and brown overload. It's good to change from time to time.

i cannot even believe i'm typing this, but for once, max mara presented a collection completely wearable and basic like we expect, but that's actually speaking for itself on the trends of the day. we saw some of this aspect peek out at sportmax last season, but it's come on full strength in this collection. the max mara comment on the colorfulness we've seen this season serves as a vital base for some of the harder-to-digest bold strokes at other houses. whether it's throwing over one of those prada jackets or slipping on a prabal top, these pieces will hold their own instead of melting into the background.

bravo! :clap::clap::clap:
