I agree, even Christy or Claudia aren't doing much these days
only Naomi is getting work in campaigns ,eds, covers.
they should make a vintage old icons list where non working icons can be listed like Linda, Cindy, Verushka, etc.

The ones that have kept longevity started the works until now most have modeled in late/middle 1990's Stella T, Gisel, Kate w/ exception to Kristen and to the early 2000's era of Natalia and Liya and middle 2000s with Daria. then there are the silent working icons like Malgosia, MariaCarla.

I think the only Supers Iconic True Supermodel is Kate Moss which is long overdue of her No.1 spot. Kate Moss is the definition of a living Icon !

I'm okay with MariaCarla being #20. Sure she works and does the highest end campaigns, but outside of people who really follow the industry, she's not really identifiable. I think she needs more mainstream crossover appeal to soar up the icon list.

Raquel is way too low. So is Isabeli. As for number one. There is Gisele, and then there is every other model who's ever lived. It's been that way forever, it will be that way for all times. No one will ever come close to anything remotely like the career she's put together. She shattered the mold.

Jon was taken off the male list about 5 or 6 months ago. He's being doing this for a long time but I'm not sure he'll make the icon list soon. It'd be hard justifying putting him anywhere other than #1 compared to what everyone else on that list is doing and it's a bit young for that. Same for Noah Mills.

Baptiste at #1 is annoying. He isn't the superstar we were promised Karl would make him according to MDC. And even with a KL exclusive, he doesn't have the most impressive resume of the last 1.5 years. Clement is without question tops.

Kate Moss, I know more people do know her and she earned her fame and status all by herself. although Gisel earns more she wouldnt have capitulated to stardom without getting the much needed exposure of dating celebs like Leonardo and commercial venture like VS . I first knew the name Gisel when I saw her with Leonardo. saying status is based of money and fame alone is not enough but the impact in fashion and the public alike is considered too

maybe it was just a coincidence but since discovery channel's airing of the perfect symmetrical face and using the face of Kate Moss as the perfect embodiment of female perfection and Tom Cruise for men.
Kate Moss has reined supreme as the Living Icon thus she
earns the Top No.1 Spot !

I agree Baptiste at No.1 is a Joke, he is beginning to look like a Troll appearing in background ads for Chanel , Fendi etc. sorry
Clement, Simon even Sean should take the No.1 spot. Ben Hill needs to be moved to the icons list

Liya just got the balenciaga campaign

but she is with a million other girls.

about mcb, i think she got blue chip campaigns consistently but the majority were multigirl compaigns.

cover wise, mcb doesnt do too well in this area. same goes with eds for the big 4 vogue editions. this girl just doesnt do well in prints.

Liya although is in a multi Balenciaga campaign but she had been signed to L'Oreal contract ? beauty contracts are big too like Natalia with Guerlain, Daria with Lancome or Carolyn with Estee Lauder. so that makes up for it altough Liya has been lacking any covers or editorials for years.

about MariaCarla; although she rarely gets covers or apear in editorials
the big blue chip campaigns season after season for a decade proves her longevity is iconic too. Cavalli, Givenchy, Prada, Dolce and many more

that would be odd since most photographers who shoot campains also shoot for covers/eds,
but she did have get her first big Vogue Italia cover last year. which was one of her biggest Magazine covers ever

well Liya isn't doing much these days, which I was surprised since she popped up in Balenciaga considering she hasn't had any Covers or hard eds for years now. I think Liya or Linda could make way if Lara is moved to the icons list. Linda is iconic but isn't doing much these days too.

the biggest mover Irina Shayk moved to No. 10
and Anne Vyalitsyna who was no.18 and now moving up to No. 14 must be all the covers and Campaigns she is getting season after season.

Biggest Flop goes to Doutzen Kroes
who previously occupied No.2 spot and is now down to No. 9

I find this MDC list to be so biased especially when the can't even accurately keep up with work that models are getting. If anything Fashiongonerogue should have a top model list
