I'm just happy to see Baptiste out of the top 50. We all know that the #1 model retires to the icons list at some point. Glad they gave him the lowest rank possible. 
But real talk- MDC needs to get their sh!t together with the men's lists. Seriously.

word. Jon K deserves to be number 1 with clement at number 2. Sean just hasn't had that great of an impact thus far. And if they are considering the Versace campaign...don't even get me started...

I'm taking this post to this thread so as not to go off topic in Casting Trends SS12.
Normally I could understand, but in this case, given as most the girls (except Joan) are sort of neck in neck, I think Natahsha's runway season could be the difference maker. Especially now that both Lara, Freja and Sasha have all skipped it (will anyone be in Paris?). Natasha's season in Milan was epic. It seemed like each her appearance was an event. She literally did all and only the absolute best in Milan. She closed/opened nearly half.
Of course, like I said initially, she'll need a decent campaign season SS12. If she gets nothing and someone else in top five is this season's Raquel, then of course she shouldn't be #1. But assuming that doesn't happen, I don't see how she's not AT LEAST in the running.

again, as i mentioned earlier. being on the runway is not a big deal when it comes to the ranking of the very top models. that is the reason why many top models skip here and there.
sasha, anja, joan, karlie, and freja's recent works are far more superior than natasha's. a decent campaign season will definitely not take natasha to the top. she needs a super season with lots of blue chip campaigns and covers in order to be in contention. bc for the past 10 months she only has one vogue cover(russia) and campaigns with h&m and sub blue chip multi-girls campaign for roberto cavalli and givenchy. so that is pale in comparison with other girls.
natasha has a long way to go if she is aiming for the top spot. arizona, anja and freja are strong candidates but not natasha. 2 years ago was her peak and she didnt make it all the way to the top so i dont see how she can make it to the top now.

Joan & Natasha are neck & neck in editorials as well as campaigns. I also don't get how you think Natasha's RW season is gonna be a difference maker, considering Joan has opened Gucci, Gianfranco Ferre, & Gareth Pugh in the last week (she was also supposed to open Prabal but had scheduling problems). In the beginning I could see the argument of Joan not deserving the top 5, but now if you look at her work she has been surpassing Karlie & is tied with Natasha.
And I don't wanna bring up the whole minority issue, but it is very hard for a black girl to get a Vogue cover. The last black VP covergirl was Rose Cordero, and that was over two years ago. The last black VI cover girls were in that all black issue about 4 years ago. I think MDC realizes that black girls getting big covers are extremely rare, and therefore are a little more forgiving in that department. So to say Joan isn't at the top with Freja, Anja, Sasha & Natasha is ridiculous.

Freja in a way is like Lara, very appealing maybe in a different way but still
appeals to both men and women. I think this is important too

Karmen Padaru has done more than Joan, has editorial and Vogue Covers
I'd take out Joan out of Top 5 and place Karmen Pedaru or Constance
and its not about because she is a minority
she has Estee Lauder ? so does Liu and Constance
Monika in a long run may place Top 5 , Anna Jagodzinska and Miranda Kerr will be dropped from
Top 10 soon and replaced by Saskia and Daphne, Aymeline may move under Top 15
