i definately DO NOT think Anna J deserves number 1.
a lot of models have a few good seasons but it doesn't mean they deserve to be number one because they are the flavour of the month. if you look at the top 5, they are models that have been around for years and have been working steadily for years.
anna j still has a lot to prove, it will be interesting to see if she gets any campaigns this season....

I feel bad for Sasha because it seems like she's missed her chance to be #1. I don't understand why Raquel has been at#1 for so long. It's been what, like 2 years now? It should've been Sasha for at least one of those years. Now, if someone was to replace Raquel (which should happen soon, imo), it should be Natasha.

I don't think she has missed her chance, i think she will be around at the top a bit longer yet!

sasha is still working but i think she has reached the "summit" already lol, as in the point where she can take it easy...she's included major commercial work in her portfolio and already has a major cosmetics contract and not to mention 5 Vogue Italia covers

Anna J hasn't have longevity? Didn't she first come on the scene in 03?

She did, but then disappeared in 2004 or something for school only to re-emerge in 2008, I think. That doesn't really qualify as longevity. She can't claim to have modelled for 6 yrs in this case. I think most ppl count her career from 07/08, which is when she exploded and is still going strong. If she's still working at this pace by the end of 2010, then she deserves higher

There was once someone who said Snejana needed to branch away from maryna.. despite my love for maryna and snejana .. I have to say thats not true. models.com KNOWS Snejana has longevity. Look at her! She can go for months on end being absent , yet still can book ALL the top shows , shes got Gucci Cruise , booked an upcoming Dior campaign etc , this is after what 4 years?! Snejana is unpredictable but when she does work she only does the VERY BEST.

Karlie Kloss will probably be top five soon, I feel it coming in my bones.

Except for the fact that of her (jaw dropping) nine campaigns this season, Meisel only shot two. Except for the fact that in the past 3 months she's been shot for Vogue by 6 different photographers.

There isn't anyone who DOESN'T want a piece of Anna J.

I don't think Freja or Anna J are more important than each other, but Anna has hardly relied on Meisel to sustain a career that has lasted 5 years or so.

I think Jessica Stam is way too high and poor Nat will never reach #1 until Raquel goes away.

Sporadic. I mean i guess she still worked, but she wasn't on many people's radar until Meisel. I think she has done a good job of building clients outside of Meisel though.

I think Freja is more deserving of a higher spot though, she is more of a star in the fashion world in my opinion.

I think Freja's been moved up to top 5, which is about right.

From Top 10, I think Catherine, Coco and Agyness need to be moved down (or out in Agyness' case).

From Top 20, Ymre, Sessilee and Kinga should be moved down.

Snejana needs to move up obviously, lol.

I'm sorry but Karlie, probably THE most ubiquitous model of the moment, needs to replace Agyness in the top 10. In my opinion, Agyness isn't even a model anymore, but a sort of a socialite personality. Also, the presence of Heidi Mount and Catherine McNeil in the top 10 mystifies me. Heidi's only real claim to fame is the fact that Karl Lagerfeld adores her, why I have no idea. Also, though I am VERY fond of her, Catherine's career has REALLY been stalling this past year or so. Yes, she will ocassionally do a blue chip Vogue edit, but the rest of the time she is M.I.A. Also, her runway presence is mediocre at best, and skipping out on so many seasons has not added to her desirability in the least bit. When she first debuted, I think she was going to be the biggest, baddest babe in the industry, but her fire has quickly faded, which is quite sad. The only reason why she is still in the top 10, I think, is because of the grandess of her debut (honestly, how many models can flaunt a VP and V cover within their first 4 months on the scene?). I believe that everyone still has hope for her because they know what she is capable of, but she has just not been delivering as of late, so until she does, she needs to be moved down on the list.

She is logging the best editorials with the best photographers, and her show exposure this past season was tremendous. MDC is definitely moving her up, I think its probably just a matter of time.

I hope they don't debut anyone as high as Monika. That's a little ridiculous. It's true she probably is THE most wanted girl in the business and she's going to be everywhere once she hits 16 and she's no longer a CK exclusive, but they have her way higher than some pretty stellar girls with years more experience and better/more campaigns.

I actually seen Natasha's ranking 5 years ago. She was at Number 10 already fresh from her back to back VP covers. May and June/July 2004. To think it was just 2 months after her runway debut.


I think it still depends on what they'd score after their respective runway debut.

Jac is HUGE right now, and she will only get bigger. The only thing setting her back is her age. I have a feeling once she is more accessible, her career will go through the roof! Many of the super young girls are alienated from big prospects because many of the photographers who shoot for the most important magazines will only work with girls of a certain age (like I&V, for example). I think if Jac was a bit older, she would probably have had a VP cover by now !
