I think they heard us complaining well, at least now we've got less people in the top 50 chart, hopefully it gets more accurate.

MDC is so...eccentric.
So their ranks now go - 30,29,28...26
why couldn't they just get rid off some of those ties and fill up the 45th and 27th spots. Maybe we're expecting new additions to the "family"
but yay, Agy is gone. Makes more sense now.

In terms of new additions... I don't know who they could add. Maybe Daphne Groenveld and Lea T?

But neither would deserve to be as high as 26.

i think julia hafstrom should be out, same with ranya
rose should be moved down she hasnt really done anything aside from a vp cover
joan, hannah , and eniko should be moved down
and i dont really understand why sesillee and chanel are that high or ranked at all actually, and i think sigrid and anna s should be moved up, i mean hanne gaby is ahead of bolth of them :S


and also dree moved up to #15

I agree that gemma shouldnt be on any of the lists considering the current criteria, but arguing that shes not even the least bit iconic, i believe is ridiculous. I mean, beyond the fashion industry her name is known, and that in itself is an achievement, how many of the wider public know who raquel or freja are? her rise to prominence in such a short period of time is unprecedented really, she was EVERYWHERE at one stage!
and of course once i again i happily admit im biased

I agree, Gemma is definitely iconic. She was the center of the alien doll-face movement and her face is very famous compared to 'icons' Liya or Guinevere who nobody outside of fashion would ever know; I have a friend who wears tops with Gemma's face on it and she has never even heard of Gemma

^ I know, it might just be somebody who saw a picture of her, edit on photo shop then print it off on a t-shirt, I've seen Coco, Agyness, Mathias etc... models being printed, I myself gets pretty excited, but that person who is wearing the t-shirt has no idea who it is, such a pity:|

I wonder if Chanel and Sess get points simply for being the most visible black models, there is no other explanation for them being so high really. Kind of the same for Liu, her body of editorial work isn't too impressive but she is probably 11 because she will be so exposed in Estee Lauder

^ It might be true, and that makes the chart a bit ridiculous, Joan is kicking in as well, I guess it's time for them to put the two a little lower where they actually deserves to be

but I think Liu Wen is that high because she is the first to achieve those things that had never happened before, but it's sad how she barely or doesn't even have any editorials from other edition of Vogues other then Vogue China.

I wouldn't be caught dead with a t-shirt with Coco's or Agyness' face on it. Never!

That being said, it seems like models.com are trying to clean up the list a bit.

it's few years already since their "big clean", i guess it's time again;p the 90's are crushing into the chart now.
There is much more to clean out and add in, it will take sometime for models.com to actually make the chart current

As for the t-shirt thing, reminds me of a memory that my friend once referred Agyness as a "stylist", I sat there in shock and took at least 10 min to digest the fact that someone regarded her as a stylist and it was only like a month ago

Barbie and Yendor you are both australian. People probably care more about her there but in other countries people wouldn't have the slightest idea who she is. She is not iconic outside of the industry. Only a few models truly are.
