MDC (Models.com) Rankings

Yeah there's a TFS list but it's on a seasonal basis and the model's past reputation does not affect it. Mr-Dale maintains the rankings. He has a very good scoring system too. :)

I'm sorry but Adriana (nor Alessandra) does not deserve to be on the Icons list. The girls on the Icons list are either the Supermodels (Christy, Naomi, Gisele etc.), the really top girls in the industry who have maintained massive careers (Carmen, Raquel, Isabeli, Angela, Daria, Natalia etc) or girls who have broken barriers (Liya). Adriana has had a successful career but no where near as big as say Raquel or Isabeli's.
She does deserve to be on the Top 50, though.-_- I agree. Rosie too. She's more or less a Burberry muse now.

i dont think adriana deserves to be on the icon list. has she done something that get notice besides victoria's secret? we all know that all girls on the icon list have one thing in common that is they are all great models who are famous for their abilities to transform in front of camera.

quality is defintely somethign we have have to look for in an fashion icon.

Okay, I don't follow male modelling that much, but what the HELL makes Nacho an icon? All he's done is Polo Ralph Lauren...

Adriana Lima is a commercial icon, but I guess she hasn't made the HF impact that Gisele did

everyone knows who Adriana is

Well, I can kind of understand it. He is THE Ralph Lauren man. He embodies the brand perfectly. Idk how to explain it.....

There's no need to rank male models at all.
First, male modeling market is pretty tiny and female models always get the spotlight first. Women earn much more than men in modeling world, which is true.
We have resort, couture, rtw shows for ladies, vogue covers for ladies, huge ads for ladies, but for male models? Second, male models dont care the list that much.

Nacho? Who is that? I thought that was a Mexican snack.

Exactly!

And @LabelWhore4, yes he does embody the brand perfectly... but it's still not enough, IMO. I know you probably can't compare male to female, but Mariacarla embodies Givenchy perfectly and she's not #4 on her icon list. Though she should be on the icon list IMO, but that's a different matter.

Latest update in men's rank:

DEBUT: Anthon Wellsjo at 37

Latest update in women's rank (also including some old moves):

Dafne Cejas moved down to 45
Kamila Filipcikova moved down to 33
Maryna Linchuk moved down to 27
Anna de Rijk moved up to 26
Daria Strokous moved up to 25
Toni Garrn moved down to 24
Miranda Kerr moved up to 21

When are they going to kick out Ranya Mordanova?

I mean, she has been sent to Tokyo, Japan .. I think that says it all. No further comments necessary.

21 seems too high for Miranda, I wonder what she might have coming up . . .

I think Prada, Jil Sander, I-d Covers, Victoria Secret and her editorial work is enough to keep her that high. I mean at one point Ymre was higher than 21 and she only did Prada campaigns exclusively.

I don't understand how 21 is "too high" for Miranda. Surely, if this was another model scoring Prada and Jil Sander campaigns in one season, requested by Balenciaga twice, being a favorite of Willy/Olivier, no one would even assume her rank is too high - but since it's Miranda... Oh no.

Why is anna de rijk moved back ? she has consistently booked good high fashion jobs .How can Tao Okamoto or hannah holmann be ranked higher than her??? How difficult can it be to rank the models sole based on their performance??

You can throw a double Numéro booking into that pile.^^

Settle down, I may not be Miranda's biggest fan but I appreciate her work and give credit where credit is due. Not to mention I'm a fan of the commercial-to-HF transition, I just personally think that MDC's Top 50 has an inaccurate rating system and this happens to be one instance where I think a model shouldn't be ranked as high given her current work as of yet.
