Anyway, Betty, why do some models have bigger pictures on the list? Such as Coco and Natasha, wouldn't it look better if all of the pictures had the same size?

Yes, so many things to get uniform.. have been working on that but missed those 2. The pics were all bigger but the ones with horizontal pics squished the text all the way to the left so have been uploading them smaller.

Lisa Cant is also off the list. She was like number 15 before.. She still has lots of ads.. Van Cleef, Juicy Couture, Nordstroms, Barney's, Carolina Herrera... Guess not enough editorials..

Yes, exactly.. and the ads while very good ads are not of the level of the Prada, Dior campaigns or of the huge money campaigns like Ralph Lauren.

Why is Anabela so high, especially considering she's 10 places ahead of Irina and I thought their careers have always been parralel...have I missed something?

Not quite sure, perhaps, that would be a Wayne question. I know that I've seen her in more shows backstage.. I think she's a better fit (which is so important to designers) than Irina.

Anabela's still way too high. She's not a regular in any major (or otherwise) publication, never had a cover, and only one decent campaign (Vera Wang) since FW07. She's still a runway staple, but not more so than, say, Kulikova or Osmanova.

About the runway:

Irina did 57 shows in ss 09 . Anabela did 47 show in ss 09
Irina opened Dior closed Galliano . Anabela closed Burberry(about the detalis pls check the individual models showlist s/s 09&both of their thread)

About the printworks:

irina had Celine fw08 campaign

Vogue Russia Sep ed

anabela had Blumarine pre-fall fw 08 campaign

I just checked quite a few pages in Hilary's thread and while we love Hilary (have loved her since the days when she joined IMG and became a superstar), she now definitely has the career of a model who's more deserving of the money list. Believe me when I say that a model dreams of making into the leagues of the girls on that list (the money list). It means her financial career is set.

As for Sasha, she still works with Meisel. If Steven still loves a girl after working with her for 3 or so years, it must be acknowledged . Her September and October appearances for American Vogue and Vogue Italia speak for themselves. We base each set of rankings on the caliber of their work in that area (top 50- current Industry faves-not our faves; top sexiest- sexiest chosen by the so called sexy clients, not our sexy favorites; top money- as evidenced by the huge money jobs).

But you know, as someone said in Hilary's thread.. those who are her fans will remain so and SHOULD remain so, regardless of whether she's on top 50 or not. In fact, I totally think that if a person is a fan of a girl, they should remain so whether or not she's in the "IN" crowd of the industry elite. One of my all time favorites, when I was growing up was Renee Simonsen, from the 80's. I didn't stop thinking she was awesome when she stopped booking all those big Vogue jobs.

As for the person who said that industry people don't look at the lists... many of them do and I know that for a fact. Karl Lagerfeld might not look but his people most likely do!

Yes exactly. I'm assuming that she is because I see her more in shows. Some girls you throw things on and it looks and fits perfectly. There are many girls (like Bruna Tenorio) who are always super busy during show season (rtw as well as haute couture).

Good to know.. I just meant I noticed her more in the higher profile shows so if Irina had 57 to Anabela's 49, maybe they are more overall higher profile for Anabela? I will check their showlists. As for the fit, like I said, I was guessing why maybe I noticed Anabela more. As for the figure, it is definitely not something that we can see in pictures. It is something that you can only see if you put clothes on a girl as the designers do.

I think it's less about Caroline and more about the fact that the other girls are working SO MUCH (like the Natasha's, Lara's, etc) or have very high profiles (like Agyness with a couple of big things coming out).

There was an interview with Karl when Daria was number one on the top fifty and he was talking about her and he said "she's not number one for no reason", he does know who's number one then.

Bianca is still sexy even though she lost some weight and she still does stuff for VS and all her editorials are very sexy. Some skinny girls are very sexy despite no curves, like Natasha Poly and Olga Sherer (Though I may be the only one whop finds Olga extremely sexy)
