No I'm waiting for her to be NO 1...

she is the best and most memorable editorial model of her generation... she will be remembered long after the natashas Isabelli and Raquels are forgotten imo

^^That's a joke right? Natasha is without a doubt the best working model of the moment but she has not done the most memorable editorials ever. Sasha, Stam and Raquel are ahead of her in that case, Sasha and Stam have done iconic work with Meisel and Raquel has done how mny editorials in her whole career? I don't even want to know and Natasha has done incredible stuff with French Vogue, okay but that's about it. I don't understand why Jessica is not higher anyway she has done lots of work and is still oing major campaigns.

^ exactly, Natasha is "of the moment", as in she will be replaced shortly, just like Agyness was of the moment in early 2007, lara was late 2007 and lily was in early 2008. It's all transient. Sasha has an untimely quality in her images, so she will eventually make it to the icons list, so will raquel probably, Natasha is flavour of the month but I don't remember anything memorable she has done. Where as Sasha's images are seared into my mind, and I'm not even a fan, nor do I visit her thread frequently.

I do not deny that Natasha has some versatile stuff in her portfolio and that she deserves her rank but keep in mind that models like Eugenia Volodina, Julia Stegner, Jessica Miller, Elise Crombez and many more have done at least as good as Natasha and who remembers their stuff now 2 years after their big years?

Natasha is not different from those so far that's why I would not call her iconic and number 1 material yet, she still has time to make it though. I hope she won't.

wait hold on, I'm defending Sasha, not Natasha, I'm confused. When I said "her portfolio is art gallery material", I was referring to Sasha's portfolio. Anyway this is quite off topic. I don't think Natasha should be ranked any higher, I want Sasha to be number one.

Sasha has some great editorials and covers but the only major campaigns she's done are Prada and Chanel eyewear. Not to mention she didn't do so well on the runways this season, but this isn't as important.

Well, her moment has been going on strong for the last 2 years ... and she's going from strenght to strenght. She has a large portfolio and a look that's adaptable and versatile enough to appeal to a large pool of clients. She had 5 or 6 major campaigns last season, something Sasha will probably never manage to do as her momentum is slipping fast. Now that Meisel is finally shooting her for some upcoming campaigns, she's still on the rise. I give her 6 more months and she should overtake Raquel on the list.

Couldn't agree more with all of that and with you there on you're last point.B) I believe she will be number 1 and deservedly so after the year she's had.

I would love Natasha to be the next number one! she's doing great and I really like her But she needs US Vogue, it may be boring or whatever but it's still the biggest fashion magazine on the world, and she's only booked it twice and the last time was in 2006 Hopefully Meisel will put her there now! And all the models that were No1 have been on the cover of Italian and American Vogue.
