It's funny to see how people make up things (declining a MDC interview lol)
He was my MOTW almost 6 years ago (check Nov, 14, 2003 since we can't post links on tFS) so we've been big fans of Noah for a long time. Just you guys wait for the top Money Guys list.. There are many top guys who work a lot who transcend top 50.

Betty
MDC

Ah, didn't think the top 50 and the money list would be mutually exclusive, since it isn't on the women's list.

Let's hope the men's money list is better than the female........It's just plain odd that the highest paid model in the history of the world is #3 on that list. I think it that's kind of blatant falsehoods in MDC ranking system that makes people scratch their head.

Not sure what it will take to change this riduculous situation but its surely going to take more than an All Black ISSUE for the day to arrive that Sessilee & Jourdan are the only two girls fronting a Chanel Campaign!

I fail to see the difference between two white models fronting the Chanel Campaign, and two black models fronting the campaign. Why can't they front it together...but back to the MDC rankings, thanks for informing us Betty even though I still disagree^_^

Fillipe its VERY SAD that black models are being sidelined in advertising when in all actuallity the black consumer has contributed 27.7 BILLION DOLLARS to the Apparel Industry and over 6.5 Billion to the cosmetic industry but you fail to see them in print repping major brands like Gucci, Prada, Versace etc.. Its sad that Gucci had a multi-girl campaign and still failed to include a black face, thats saying that although black ppl spend their money on gucci and prada we don't care and we refuse to recognize your dollars..basically your money is not welcome. And Yes there may be a larger population of white models to ethnic models but like the discussion thats been ongoing for quite some time now; Whose to blame? The Agencies, Casting Directors etc....The blame game goes on and on...Not sure what it will take to change this riduculous situation but its surely going to take more than an All Black ISSUE for the day to arrive that Sessilee & Jourdan are the only two girls fronting a Chanel Campaign!

I see your point & you have a good one, but you know as much as I, that white women represent the women's beauty, no matter what you say it always was like this & always will be. Black people will want more black models or think that women's beauty should be represented by black women, white people will disagree & say the inverse. I think there should exist more black models getting booked for shows & campaigns, because diversity is what the industry needs. :flower:

I personally don't believe on this models.com Top & never believed, it's biased & has too many models on the top, I believe there's even more than 50 models on the Top 50, how come the people that work for models.com can keep up to all the models are doing or not? It's impossible, plus they even have that Top 20 of the male models. Besides no matter how much they change the top, people will always disagree no matter what, you can never please everybody.

BOY'S ranking is so not fair.
How many boys with CK campaign in Top 10?
Crazy!

Let's not turn this into a race discussion folks.Filipe what you said about white women representing beauty is utterly shambles and poorly worded.

what I'd like to know is how Catherine McNeil is still in the top ten? she hasn't done that many editorials, campaigns or covers. yet there she is still ahead of a lot of girls who have done a lot more than her.this boggles my mind.

Guys, please remember this is a topic about the models.com ranking.

Also do not attack other members because that won't get us anywhere at all :flower:

On a lighter note, Im thinking Natasha Poly and Lara should switch. Poly has had a relatively quiet last quarter and Lara is still very hot with newish prospects coming out (Karl and W cover). Thoughts?

Yeah Naomi isn't really someone you start shifting around. She is Naomi Campbell. She could retire completely and would still be top 5 always. IMO

Well they are basing it on current work, its a current working list. I think thats why Christy Turlington wasn't even on the list a few months back (?) and then she started working more and she reappared. She will always be a part of the trinity, always an icon, but no work (by her choice of course) = no appearance on the list.

^Oh I wasnt aware the icon's list was based on current work. Makes sense for her to move down a bit then i guess

I so agree with you gambit, however basing it off her current workload then she can afford to shift around a lil! Good thing is Naomi will never just fall off the fashion radar so we can at least expect her to remain in the Top 10 list until she decide to retire! lol!

They actually made some good moves! Arlenis Sosa is up a bit, Eniko blasted into the top ten (glad she moved up, but top ten....higher than Toni and Karlie?), Anja is up to 3 and Lily is down to 4.

Ali's photo has been the same on the site for way too long now! They really need to change it, same with Kasia's. Keep it up to date

I think eniko is a good choice for Top 10 over someone like Cat, especially since it seems she is everywhere lately.

^^ Anja should have moved up. Hmm maybe Eniko has lots more to come towards the end of the year....ill be waiting

^^I find it strange how Cat is in the top 10 too. It's not as if she has been working loads recently and she doesn't have the career to keep her in that position even if she has a not so good year.

Lily, Still in the Top 5? Please explain where is her most recent Cover or Campaign? She's actually been somewhat absent from the radar!

^ Really?
mmm. She was everywhere last season, and still getting jobs.
plus She opened big shows like Versace.
so it still relevant.

If the Icons list is based on current work, we should see Isabeli moved in the top 5....maybe even number three soon right? She's simply everywhere this season.
