A lot of movement on the list today. To add to the increased silliness of the list, Jourdan Dunn switched places with Chanel Iman. LOL! On what planet. Not on the Earth I live on!

Arlenis Sosa was moved up though, that's always a good thing.

Funny thing about this list is that it's not a Top 50, it's more like a Top 70, since many girls share the same spot. In fact I don't understand why this thread exists, but let me just quote some posts of the beginning of this thread:

a) that list is just someones OPINION like any list. its subjective, interpretive, its NOT FACTUAL. its not based on any statistics.

b) models. com is constantly kissing up to certain agencies, magazines, photogs, advertisers & even models. In fact that list is SO biased, you have to take it with a great deal of skepticism.
They are also slow to promote new new girls into top 10-20, often keeping girls in top 20 who were hot THREE years ago but are NOT now.

c) again its NOT fact based- its OPINIONS.

the rule to remember is: ITS SOMEONES OPINION. NOT BASED ON ANY STATISTICS OR MONEY OR ANYTHING.
so YOUR opinion or mine is JUST AS VALID!!

Being on this list is actually quite prestigous..
You might not believe it but its the most relevant list in the media.. like when Raquel hit number one on models.com Brazil went into a frenzy with the news.. seriously.. and its always mentioned.. oh shes ranked "15th according to models.com" etc.. it is quite relevant and an HONOUR to be on the list.. IMO. It not necessary for a model but it does give exposure.

Karlie is up to #7. Dree is up, I love the girl, but no way is she a top 20 girl. And why do they keep moving Monika up? There is very little doubt that she's about to dominate this industry, but they could at least wait for it to happen first. And for the love of god move Sigrid up above Chanel, Abbey, Sessilee, and a few other girls. Agyness is finally tumbling, but why not just remove her? Lots of other movement too. Nothing to make the list less silly

Abbey's hot for sure, but her Gucci exclusive is nowhere near as impressive as Sigrid's campaign list. YSL Beauty, cK, Chloe, Bottega Veneta, Stella McCartner, and Karl Lagerfeld all this season and PRADA last season. Abbey's never booked anything as remotely impressive......nor has she ever had a season like Sigrid had the last season she walked. No one has, she broke the record for most shows opened. Not even the legendary Ms. Poly has topped it.

I love Abbey, think she's great, but Sigrid is definitely in that tier of girls just one step ahead of her.

What? Natasha has a record 3 consecutive seasons as Top 1 First Face with a total of 35 shows opened. She opened 12 shows in a single season. I don't get where "she broke the record for most shows opened" coming from. How many did Sigrid open last season?

ETA: Caroline opened 14 shows last SS07.


I can't wait as to what campaigns Karlie have bagged this season, 7th place already?
